I know,1 block from my work and I dont hear poop about anything.Heck,I would of brought them some lunch.Linda, dont you think they would of liked Juanita's mexican food?
It was to take them out on a private track event and have a little fun. The conditions were supposed to be good, but got real bad while we were there. There was a 30+ MPH head wind and the DA's went through the roof at over 3200 ft by 1 pm. The SSR was doing good even with the conditions we were playing in 12 seconds flat on one of the final runs. We are ready to up the boost on the SSR to 15 psi next month, he is still at just 10 psi right now. We built the engine for over 20 psi of boost so stay tuned as we shake it out a little more. It will be running 10's this fall so stay tuned. The Corvettes he was racing all day were all real nice with blowers and nitrous.
This was the first time on the strip for the TBSS. The TrailBlazer SS would not shift at full throttle. I had to go half throttle out of the hole through first gear to get it to shift to second. Then it wouldn't shift to third until I completely backed off the throttle and waited a second. It ran a 12.3 with the transmission problems. I really wanted a low 11 or 10 second time slip but that is hard to get when you cant even go full throttle.
Watch for this fall when we have these 2 vehicles ready for some full throttle runs on big boost. This event was short fused and we only had a week and a half to prepare for it. I put our names on a back up list and spots opened the last minute.

Don't want to hurt any feeling anywhere.. It was a private event and the entries we from last minute cancellations.
Mid 12's are the times we were looking at.
The food sounds better than the Del Taco we had.
Just giving you some crap buddie. Does make me want to make the April 25th event. While I might not have a quick truck, with darn near 100 passes at Pomona I can cut a pretty good light.
You guys go out there again take my number,my shop is 1 block away. You break something or need to haul something home I could help you out.

The next time we make it up there we will be sure to give LTs SSR and yourself a call. You can always come down to my neck of the woods for a cruise too. The door is always open!!

Drag racing is a lot like fishing when it comes to the wind, I have went to the strip a few times and seem every time the wind is right in your face, I am still looking for that tail wind
I was taking the Peterbilt to the dealer to be serviced. So,I threw the SSR on the trailer, and drove it home from Peterbilt.Notice the big white rag over the hitch so I wouldn't scratch anything with the chain.
