SSR Walbro Fuel Pump Upgrade problem

Has anyone installed this pump yet? The fuel line from the SSR is much larger than the connection on the new pump. No instructions were included with my pump. You would think the connection would be larger to since we are increasing pressure. How do I connect the fuel line to the pump??? sorry about the double posting

I found those instructions, but the problem is the fact that the SSR fuel line is much larger than the connection at the new pump. I don't see the clamps holding the fuel line in place. I don't want to put have it put together and have it blown off. by the way, I'm not installing it, a friend is. I was hoping someone had installed one already and tell me if it will hold or not.............thanx

Mine is being installed later this week with the MagnaVolt at a Pro Shop. We can compare notes when it is done.

So how does your SSR run? Are you pleased with the results from your build?

Oh yeah, have you had it dyno'ed yet? I'd like to see the before and after changes.

Lingenfelter Fuel Pump Info:

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Posted by Jason over at TBSS.com:

If you recently purchased a Trailblazer SS/Envoy/SSR high flow fuel pump kit from Lingenfelter Performance Engineering (or our kit from one of our jobbers), please contact us.

GM has an error in the part system for the Trailblazer and SSR fuel pump modules and the wrong part number is listed for the fuel pump module O-ring seal. We shipped several batches of fuel pump kits with the wrong seal.

If you received an "H" shaped fuel pump module seal from us in a GM parts bag labeled with the part number 22672293, this is the WRONG fuel pump module seal. Do NOT use this seal. Please contact LPE and we will send you the correct seal. The correct GM part number for the seal for 2005-2007 vehicles is 22682111.

We do not know what the incorrect seal does fit or if it could cause any safety related problems if it were to be used so DO NOT USE THE H SHAPED SEAL. If you installed that seal, please replace it with the correct fuel pump module seal.

Jason Haines

So what was the story on this? I thought I head something about this assisting those with magnachargers. I know that sometimes, after I have been running hard, and I come to a light my truck feels like it could shut down from fuel starvation. Please advise.

There is another thread on this that Joe started.
SSR Walbro Fuel Pump Upgrade (Lingenfelter)

There is a little more information there and in particular, Greg Ducato responded to your question directly. If you hadn't seen it (or forgot it) ..Maybe this is what you are after??

SSR Walbro Fuel Pump Upgrade (Lingenfelter)

Looks like the upgraded fuel pump might help since you are running the super-charger. Maybe avoid the fuel starvation you are experiencing.??

Joe's explanation of the reason this pump might be needed: -->>SSR Walbro Fuel Pump Upgrade (Lingenfelter)

Sorry I missed this question. The Lingenfelter fuel pump upgrade uses a Walbro 255 pump which is a very nice upgrade from the stock pump. With the MagnaVolt together it is supposed to increase the volume of fuel to the engine when compared to the stock pump.

Can you please explain in detail what "adaptations" were required? If we are going to install Fochs pump we would like to have parts available and gremlins presorted. Thanks!!!

a friend installed it for me, what I can remember is that the inlet hose was much larger than the connector and wouldn't hold properly, I think he had to use different clamps..
