Studs Vs Duds

There is guys out there buying one wheel at a time, you know who you are. Check out Tyger Lucas's new Space Shuttle Launcher almost complete. With guys help like West Coast 32, Mike from Arizona, Blackie, Eric from MPD, and Joe from Bell Tech I plan on making this the baddest SSR around with over 1000+ HP when completed. The best of the best with no cost spared. Boo yah

Looks good, All I have to say is put a strong rear under it, You are going to be making a lot more hp than I am and I broke the stock rear like a tooth pick and thought the 14 bolt but went with a full 2500 hp Moser rear and bent it after two runs, A lot of weight and a lot of hp and good tires that hook and broke parts

automatic or stick? We have guys over 1000 hp at wheels with the stock 14 bolt rear end works fine. Then again they are automatics with big stalls and a 6 speed will shock the rear end a lot harder.

For sale

He has it listed on his web site for $64,900. The list of what has been done to get it to almost 700 HP is pretty cool;

Thanx. 620hp Not quite the 1000hp he bragged about, huh
Plus, I am confused by the VIN. It has an 2006 VIN. so what year is it?

Not the same one. Odd that the one for sale is listed as an Aqua Blur when it's clearly a Pacific Blue but yet the one that has the pictures listed here is on his web but with no info. www.texastoys.com 0 ChevroletSSR

His waterfall badge does say it is being built for the stud??? and it is an aqua blur. Not to mention his "other" car is for sale.

The Pacific Blue 2006 (23262) shown on his website has been discussed on this forum several times.

Look at this thread for some of that discussion:
'06 Pac Blue on eBay

He had 23262 for sale some time ago (after the above thread...I think he bought 23262 from the AZ dealer in Kingman).

Either way, it looks like the Aqua Blur that is the subject of this thread is a different truck than the Pacific Blue in the link posted by Lakecat. Looks like Tyger needs to make the pictures from post 1 of this thread match the posting on his website, and remove the pix for the Pac Blue he used to have.

As 007 once said..........
James Bond: Weren't you a blonde when I came in?
Tiffany Case: Could be.
James Bond: I tend to notice little things like that - whether a girl is a blonde or a brunette.
Tiffany Case: Which do you prefer?
James Bond: Well, as long as the collar and cuffs match...

I think Tyger is good with engines and possibly not so good with documentation.
The 600 hp #23262 is definitely a and the current subject vehicle is a
With the SSR info on that link it seems the collar and cuffs don't match and Tyger has cross-bred the two.

I would just ignore the link and old threads and pay attention to the vehicle and build as listed in Post #1.
It looks like a lot of great stuff going into the build. There is a around that is supposedly pushing 800hp.

Looks like all the info in his ad refers to the 2006 pac blue #23262, yet it's referred to as 2005 aqua blur.

Speaking of collars and cuffs not matching.........It also has a FPR badge on the waterfall, but is not an FPR truck. I know - my favorite pet peeve about misrepresentation.

This truck was the subject of much discussion on a previous thread.

'06 Pac Blue on eBay

Looks like Tyger bought it from the previous seller???. Question now is whether he is aware of the misrepresentation, or was duped by the previous seller.

Pretty pricey truck!!!!

My point is that it is only a couple of Fanatics that are bringing the PacBlue up by dredging up old threads and seeing what is on a web page about an SSR he may not even own at this time.
Tyger has not stated any VIN, year or color (other than paint plans). Some are jumping to conclusions, incorrectly IMO. This would seem to be a completely different SSR and should be viewed and discussed as such. The rest is old news and should be discussed in the old threads if anyone deems necessary.
The waterfall badge on this one states "SSR Built for Tyger Lucas".

Figured I would upload some rather than clicking through Tygers post.

I agree and would point out that the pictures posted in post #1 show an Aquablur if the body color show at all.
