2815 vs 2865...Why are there two part numbers?
Recently Superchips revised (or actually combined) part numbers in order to reduce the number of units that a dealer would need to stock. Up until last year the GM gas vehicles had 2 part numbers, 2815 & 2825. Between the 2 part numbers, they covered all years of the GM gas vehicles. There is now a new part number 2865 that does all of the GM gas vehicles instead of splitting them in half. So what does this mean to you as a consumer? It means you can save a bunch of money, because there is absolutely no difference between the 2815 and the 2865 except how many vehicles it will cover. It is the exact same programming, it updates off of the exact same Superchips Flashpaq updater, and it will give you the exact same results.
