Sounds like the new battery is on the edge as well. With a properly charged battery the key should come out and all electronics should work.

Got key out

2003 After charging overnight I started the truck, turned key off and removed it. Came back later and tried again. Key turns and turns the engine over, but will not start. Windows do not work. Thank for advice.

All I know is the dealer charged me $40.00 to install my new battery, some people said I was crazy to pay someone to do it. Now I'm think it was money well spent. Ask your service rep. at the dealer, if you have a good repore with them they will often help you out. Maybe there is something they do that we are not aware of. Good luck, hope you figure it out. I would start by throwing a battery charger on it for a couple hours and see if that makes any difference.

I had the exact problem and it was because the battery voltage was a little bit to low. After charging the battery overnight my problem was solved and hasn't been a problem since! Could have been a poor conection after changing the battery'
