WARNING! Don't Buy Aftermarket Big Brakes UnTil YOu Read This
Well, I thought I would give a heads up to all those contemplating upgrading their factory stock brakes with aftermarket big brakes.
I bought some from Performance Parts Aftermarket and Racing . The ones I purchased were manufactured by Rotora. Anywho, I bought the set for both the front and the rears only to find out that the front brake calipers are so huge that the stock rim is hitting the front face of the caliper itself! I would need almost a 1 to 2 inch spacer for clearance and I am definitley not doing that! Damn! So, that being said I called horsepowerfreaks and they are saying that they have to first check on my ability to return the brakes themselves. I don't think that will be an issue. What ticked me off was that they will probably not take the brake lines back since they have been installed! That's BS and poor customer service! Do yourself a favor and make sure if you do an upgrade that the wheels will definitey fit. Now I am out about $80 for the lines not to mention the labor I had to pay to have the work done and undone!!
Do yourself another favor and don't deal with this company.

Information on the forum ?
- If you did a search for Rotora you would have found a fellow Fanatic that - had installed those brakes. He went into great detail, with pictures, on what he had changed to make them functional and he is tickled pink with the job that they do.
- Likewise, if you do a search for SSBC you'll also find a lot of information on their brake kits. In fact, I just ordered their kit and I'm biting at the bit waiting for them to arrive.
- Good luck with the trials and tribulations that occur when some thing goes wrong.

Most reputable brake companies will provide you with a template that you must use to confirm that the brakes will fit within the wheels you have on your vehicle.
For example, I got my Rotora brakes directly from Rotora. They would not even start the order until I confirmed that the kit would fit on my truck by using the templates they provided. One template is for the front brake assembly, and one is for the rear assembly. You need to remove a front and rear wheel and set the templates inside the rims to confirm clearance. You may need to get spacers to make the brakes fit, or you may need to either upgrade the rims or downsize the rotors.
