Is the Westers Garage ECM tune-up worth it?

Has any of you R riders had the New Flash Programmed Computer ECM and TCM for your 2005 SSR LS2 done from Westers Garage. I was wondering if it had better performance and is it worth it. Anyone have any problems with the set-up?

Thanks
Buck

Buck I had mine done after I changed the gears in my R. I love my R more than ever now. Told Westers about the gear change and they set up the computer for the change. I love the performance now!!!!!

Thanks,
I heard good things about Westers Garage tune-up. I just wanted see if some of the R's fellowship would have to say about their SSR's. What kind of increase across the board did you have JR?

I don't think the tune alone was what my R needed , it needed the gears to have the effect I wanted. The power at takeoff now is incredible. Its not a dog pulling away from the lights. Even on the highway when you want to pass there is the little more zip to it.

Well in your opinion do you think you got your money worth? Right now everything is all stock on my 05 R (I’m one of those all stock guy’s). I am thinking to upgrade the ECM & TCM units for a little more zip if this is worth the money.

Lyndon Wester does excellent work. When I was writing "The SSR Experience", I had him to do a custom tune for my 04 SSR that had a Z06 cam, custom exhaust, and 4.56 gearing. His tune made that engine not only stronger, but also way smooooother. Highly recommended.
