What Did You Pay For Your Series 50?

Was thinking about having a Flowmaster Series 50 installed just before the ride to Maggie Valley. Went to a local muffler shop here and he wants $317 installed. About $100 to install it and the rest is tax and the muffler. I had a 40 isntalled on my S10 a few years back in Vegas. If I recall it was just about $200. I mentioned this to the guy and he said the Flowmaster 50 is almost double the cost of the 40. Going to call around tomorrow in the Newport News area to get some estimates. I'm curious to here what others have paid. No other exhaust mods...just swap out the stock muffler with the Flowmaster.

Hey Bagger,
Hope you get the Series 50 on before Maggie Valley. I'd like to compare the sound of the different mufflers while there. Hope there's some 40's and Super 44's as well as others. I'm looking forward to hearing Mike in AZ's ole school exhaust on Sidekick's R. Who else is going to MV with after market exhaust? Bring em on guys.

$317 sounds expensive! I'd look around... Yikes! I would expect between $150-$200 max!

40 series on mine

I just had a 40 series installed on mine. He also cut off the stock tips and welded on the Bosals for me. Charged me a total of $96 for everything. I really love the new sound , so we'll all have to compare at Maggie.

A guy at work who builds hot rods turned me on to a shop just over the Coleman bridge in Gloucester Point. I drove over to see him at lunch. There just so happened to be a person there who had a 50 installed on a Avalanche. I want something a little louder but not the constant drone you have with a 40. The owner of the shop has a Nova with Magnaflows. I like the way they sounded, especially when your foots int it. I'm going with it. Should have it installed either tomorrow or Friday. About $130 less than the quote I got on last Saturday.

I did the same with Magnaflow and Bosal 5" tips and like the mellow sounds. I didn't want it too loud while top is down. Thats way I didn't get those BFG KDW2'S, too loud at highway speeds.
