Whatta yuns think about Pos-traction?

So, all my parts came in and my shop finally get started on installing the 4.56 gears...Called this evening and said I should really go with a Posi rear too...

Is the OEM a limited slip? or just a single tire spin?

And, what are some of the pros about adding a posi?

Thanks

I thought that Posi and limited slip were virtually the same. But of course there are others here that will disagree

Back up 3 steps... What do you have now?

SSR - auto trans - torsen
SSR - manual trans - limited slip (posi)

Posi-traction is GM's name for a clutch type limited slip.
The Torsen, used in the automatics, is a geared limited slip.

NeverMind...

I called back this morning to see to ask about more "options" for a pos-traction...

And he just laughed and said "Man, I was just friggin with you...you already have a limited slip."

He was just checking to see if you'd throw money at him.
