When should one chang oil???????

My 04 with a little over 2.500 miles has 600 miles on the last oil change of Mobil 1. Its driven once a month 50 miles round trip , little town driving ,mostly highway miles.Does it go by miles or by time?
Thanks

It goes by both as oil breaks down with time, But with low miles like that if it was me I would change it a couple times a year, Just me but I would use a better oil than Mobil 1. If you can't get Amsoil you can get Royal Purple without having to order it, I use RP, Use a better oil in the SSR!

Exclamation $$$

I was under the impression the smaller V-8 for the SSR doesn't require Mobil 1... or any synthetic oil. Why not just use the oil recommended in the Owners Manual? Save a lot of money with Dyno oil. Lots of info on this subj in the Library. Hit the 'Search' button...

Your DIC tells you when to change your oil too. But in your case you'd probably want to change it waaaaaay before it tells you to as it would probably tell you to change it in 3-4 years

At a MINIMUM you should change it at least once a year.
