4th of July in Lindale again

Hey everybody - it's time for the Lindale 4th of July parade again - with the requisite BBQ visit afterwards. Please see Wayne's instructions below. I've had some computer glitches - so might have bad email addresses, etc. If you'll check the "To:" listing above - see if anybody you know is missing or if you spot a bad email address - let me know and forward it on to the right adddress.

Hi John,

We will once again meet and line up in front of my house. We are supposed to line up at 9:00, with the parade starting at 10:00. It will likely be very hot, if recent weather is any indication.

My plan is to be in a new Camaro Convertible. If it looks like rain, I may change to a different vehicle.

Not really a park - it's a section of Houston called Lindale. We've been doing this parade for about 6-7 years.

Here's the scoop from Wayne.

The parade will start at 10:00 AM. The participants should be lined up at
9:00 AM. I requested we be allowed to line up in front of my house again this year.

I understand the parade route was shortened by one block this year. I will be in a convertible Camaro this year. I normally have a cooler with bottled water in the back of my truck, but I am sure it will not fit in the Camaro, so we will have to water up before we leave the house.

Of course, the plan will be to head to the bbq joint after the parade.

Please let me know if you're still planning on being there. I'll post this up on the website - don't seem to have the right email address for gmpartsguy - and maybe we'll get some more latecomers.

I have just completed the installation of a 16” auxiliary “pusher” fan, in front of the A/C condenser.

I do not know about the Good Lord but the FATES seem to be conspiring against me. At this point I doubt that I will be able to attend. If not I will try again next year.
