It looks like we have "The Fantastic Five". Should be fun.

The more the merrier - let's shoot for meeting at Wayne's by 8:15-8:30 at the latest. The parade muster is right around the corner from his house. Soft candy and "throws" are okay for this parade.

I just re-throw the stuff we got at the real Mardi Gras in Louisiana. My kids have left huge bags of 'em in their closets. When the kids moved out and got married, everything must go !!!!!!

Wed. July 4th - Houston

This year the parade will be much better. It is definitely on. There is a group of Corvettes joining (not a part of my group). The current plan is to have the Corvettes, myself and any SSR’s, and the 1949 Chevy pickup all together. I think it will be great to have so many Chevy’s as a section of the parade.

They requested I try to keep it to no more than a half dozen SSR’s, but if there is interest I am sure we could sneak in more.

Let me know of anyone who might want to do it.

The parade will start at 10:00 AM. They request we start to line up around 9.

Anyone else like to join the parade?

Bill

Are there any contingency plans for Foul Weather? I assume we will not drive in the parade if raining. Perhaps we should talk Tuesday evening or Wednesday morning to decide if it's a go.

I'm guessing good in the AM and rain in the afternoon - checked with our weather experts here (we have to keep on top of it - offshore) - and they think Wednesday morning will be okay. Told me that today's rain is different than last week's rain - whatever the hell that means.

If it looks iffy - I'll call everybody and we'll see what the deal is - about 7:00 AM. Still won't guarantee what happens by 10:00 AM.

Yep, wanted to come, but just didn't want to risk the weather and 150 miles one way. Got any pics?

I think Charlotte took some. Rest of us afraid to take the cameras out in the rain. Bet an SSR owner at Gabby's - gave them a card and the pitch. All of us had one wet arm from throwing candy to the kids in the rain. Pretty good turnout to watch the parade. We commented that all six of us who committed to come - did - despite the rain. Probably proof that we're all half a bubble off.
