4th of July Parade
Hey - if you had fun at the Katy Vets parade - let's keep it going on the 4th. I emailed Wayne Ledu to see it they were looking for vehicles - here's his response
Hi John,
I am planning to do the parade and would love some SSR’s to join in. I have not talked to the parade coordinators to get details. I am also trying to get banners made for my truck, as I have no markings on it.
I will let you know the details, as I get them.
Thanks,
Wayne LeDu
I let everybody know as soon as Wayne passes on the info.

My SSR: Smokin' Asphalt w/Black Running Boards. The "Batmobile"
I am ready for it. I have ordered some new strobe lights for the Batmobile, for use in parades and car shows only, of course!

The latest from Wayne
Hi John,
This year the parade will be much better. It is definitely on. There is a group of Corvettes joining (not a part of my group). The current plan is to have the Corvettes, myself and any SSR’s, and the 1949 Chevy pickup all together. I think it will be great to have so many Chevy’s as a section of the parade.
They requested I try to keep it to no more than a half dozen SSR’s, but if there is interest I am sure we could sneak in more.
Let me know of anyone who might want to do it.
The parade will start at 10:00 AM. They request we start to line up around 9.

Let me know who's up for it. I'll be going. I'll get it out on a blast email tonight as well.
John

Wayne,
What is the location of the parade?
Will it be the same route as last year?

As Wayne says - it's in Lindale Park. Much bigger parade than the Katy Vets.

Not sure if I'm in.
It's our anniversary (18 years). and Josefa's sister will be here from So. America (her first visit to the US).
I have had the discussion but have not received a "kitchen pass" yet.

Well - I think it would be nice to take Josefa's sister to a traditional American cultural event.

Skip, If you still have your cover removed,
you could ride in the back and throw candy.

Have you talked to her recently?
