I was out there from 7:30-10am. Only saw one other SSR.

Not sure what was hotter, the coffee, the cars, or the temp 90+ at 10am.

I wanted to go, really,.. but I was hooked up to a machine and donating white blood cells during that time. It's called "Apheresis procedure".

Apheresis (pronounced A-fer-ee-sis) means to take away. Apheresis removes or
takes away different cells from your blood.

I was told that after it was processed at another facility, it would be given to a 9yr. old at Cook's Children's Hospital.

I am not telling you this to brag about how I spent my morning, but rather to ask.. how many of you donate blood on a regular basis? Did you know that each unit of blood can treat up to 3 patients?

Why don't you do something about it. American Red Cross - Give blood

Used to donate blood but as a cancer survivor they will not take it any more. That means we need more healthy people to step up. Thanks for being one.

So, other than the more than noble jesture above, we, as SSR owners, need to commit to a real showing at the Dallas Cars & Coffee. I was there but not with the SCT ROD. Had the wife and grandson (so, had to the take the 300).

You know what the missus said? "dadgummit, you breakfast eaters need to show up in force and show these trucks off, big time!".

I love that woman!
