Cochino Ridge

Event Dates: October 13, 2007
Location: Kennard, Texas

A day of family fun with a complimentary lunch of hot dogs, the usual fare and drinks. Bring your lawn chairs, fishing gear, hiking shoes and cameras for a festive day of fun. Exchange ideas and information. Bring your classic car/vehicle for all to admire. Many Corvettes will be in attendance.

Cochino Ridge is the jewel of the Texas Forest Country overlooking Steed Lake surrounded by Davy Crockett National Forest. Cochino Lodge was awarded the Texas Forest Association 2006 Excellence in Wood Design Award. This unique location provides an excellent photo opportunity with the grassy slope tapering to the lake with huge white clouds overhead.

Cruise to other points of interest Saturday afternoon. The many farm roads surrounding the area are excellent by-ways to experience the deep forest mystique. If interested, you can join back at the final Cruise Night of 2007 on the Square in Crockett with Rock and Roll from 6:00 to 9:00 pm!!!

Yeah, I knew that lots were going to F'berg the next week and would not want to come, but some that are not going might want a day trip just to get out! I have my car show and cruise the same weekend as F'berg so I can't make it. IF anyone wants a day trip the same day as F'berg you are welcome to come on down to our parade and show here in Grapeland. Don
