Dallas area Road Rally July 7th

The 5th event in the SCCA Regional RoadRally Series will be held Saturday, July 7th, beginning at 10am. No prior rally experience is required. The Start will be at Turner Park in Grand Prairie, near the intersection of I-30 and Belt Line Road.

The event will be a typical gimmick rally, with various scoring opportunities to be found along the mostly-country-road route.

I have twice to go on one these rallys but issued developed. I will block the day #2.

OK Do we have enough for a team? Do we want to meet somewhere or just me at the event? Liz will be the designated driver & I will be the nagivatior? This should be alot of fun.

It's gonna be fun. The pre-check driver said: "WOW ... the pre-run was fantastic!!! (especially the VERY HILLY part ... gotta love those apexes) :~) YeeeeeHawwwww"

Don't worry about being the only one. There will be 1 Aztek, 1 SAAB, 1 Triumph, and 1 Fiero. Over 20 cars, it looks like.

Classes for first-timers, novices, masters, and everyone else is "general".

NEWS Flash - SCCA 2nd Annual Mountain Creek Rally. SSR3 crew takes 2nd place novice class trophy. Liz & I had a great time with the TEXAS region SCCA rally group (total cars 24). We got to see some great areas in Grand Praire, Dallas, Cedar Hill, & Oakcliff. The rally lasted about 3 hrs. over 60 miles. I got us lost twice, but on course to finish at Joe Poole Lake. We got beat by a team in a Subaru who beat everyone else including the teams in the Master class. Sorry no other SSR's could make the trip. Maybe next year.

i ended up working until about 1:30 yesterday, so of course didn't make it - sounds like you had good time - Congratulations on your 2nd place!
