Disproportionate amount of SSR's in Houston?

I have always noticed that there wee a lot of SSR's in the Houston area. Is it just me or are there a disproportionate amount of SSR's in the Houston area?

Its a very large warm weather city so I would assume that a large amount were sold in Houston and DFW when they were new. I also think that North FWY Hyundai bringing in so many SSR's is also adding to the Houston SSR population.

Have any of you noticed this?

I'd guess conservatively that there are 200+ SSR's in the Phoenix metro area.....

Warm weather climates attract drop tops

We have at least 60 here in Las Vegas locally, however when the weekend gets here, they come from CA, AZ, UT and WA which adds to the top down weekend. NO WE HAVE NOT NOTICE IT HERE BECAUSE WE HAVE PLENTY

I just read this for the first time and wonder about the SSR/HHR relationship. Should they both have been SSR?

Dwight, maybe they do not know what a SSR or HHR looks like

You keep driving by that Hyundi dealership off I-45 North. He is collecting and marketing them. There are about eight in Conroe. After all, it is a fair weather car. Don't be concerned, yours will hold it value.

I would say in about 20 years when these trucks become the next "NOMAD" or other highly sought after collectible, the place to go find one easily would be either the Southwest U.S. or Canada. Florida would be next, as I see quite a few Fanatics in that area too. As far as collections, I really think Canada is where most low mileage SSR's will be found. (one in New Jersey I know will be found after I pass on.)

Well in about 20 months there will be one more when we move to The Woodlands to be near the Grandkids. The funny thing is our R was originally from the Houston area.

Well Hells Bells, The Woodlands is right next door to Conroe.

I know a little about Conroe. We are looking at houses along the I-45 corridor between Conroe and Spring. Both my son and daughter live in The Woodlands. My wife wants to be about 20 minutes from them, so the edges of Conroe and Spring fit right in. We are looking forward to the move.
