I don't have a clue...

A co-worker told me about "a bunch" of SSRs that he saw last Saturday. I just knew he was talking about the tech session in Weatherford. But no. He was in Denton at 7AM Saturday morning at the Cracker Barrel and claims there were no less than 25 SSRs parked in front. There was an even greater number of Vettes also. And then a bigger group of street rods around back. There were tents set up and guys with uniform looking shirts. He described some of the Rs, but I didn't recognize any of them. I am in the dark. Anyone know about this? Wayne

Wayne it would be really helpful if you could run by there (Cracker Barrel), on your lunch hour, and find out what was going on. Thanks, your the man!

We used to members of the Longhorn Corvette club and may one day join again, but the one event I did go to did not seem to be as fun as our get-togethers no matter how small or large they are.
They have alot of events but many are far drives which is not great for vintage vettes with no air conditioner in 95degree + Texas weather. Most of the active members all drive more modern cars and can make the runs. They also like to drive really fast which is not what you want to do to a classic for long periods of time...Most of the members with vintage vettes lay out of the long-distant events and just participate locally.

SSRs RULE!

Do you have a vintage Vette? If so, what year, motor, etc. Just curious.

Beautiful. The 327 was one of the best motors they put into a Vette. Congratulations.

I caught that, Machell. It's possible that many of the Vette drivers who are not on this site also have SSRs. I dunno. I'll quit worrying about it for now. Can't wait 'til the next gathering for more fun. Wayne
