I will be holding a tech session for anyone in the North Texas area that would like to participate, on May 17th, 2008. The location will be my shop, Phoenix Transmission Products at 1304 Mineral Wells Hwy. Weatherford Texas, 76086

Give me your suggestions for the day's activities and we will get this kicked off. Anyone from outside the area who would like to offer some constructive suggestions feel free to do so. Tell me what you want to get done and let us begin!

I am up for this & I have a few suggestions.
1. treat the gaskets on our vehicles,
2. check the people who have installed sway bars and make sure the nuts are tight. (I had a front right nut come off during the HRPT 2007 & Machel had an issue with her front sway bar nut coming loose during our last run to Fredricksburg)
3. assist in any extra installs ie; sway bars, servo, auxilary fan
4. catch up on all the latest gossip

You may want to make the next one a two day affair. Motel in the area, tech session on Saturday, Dinner, Sunday, cruise/Brunch.
Anybody who has bought accessories and not yet installed them, speak up and put it on the "to do" list.
OR risk carrying them around for another year.... Good chance to get together and swap tips, add-ons, cheap tricks, new products, or new FOOD.
When has any Fanatic Gathering NOT centered around FOOD???? Have fun, lend a hand, cook some stuff....
Bring what ya got, ask for what ya need , show what ya done.....see what ya need to DO.
(I DO need to attend every session in my area)

Just a hint to correct the problem is you need a very thin open end wrench
and to hold the joint from turning. Then box open to tight nut and the final
you insert another box open and use as a lever pry bar. It need to be torqued to at least 65 ft lbs. or heavy umph..! Hint do not use blue lock ez
you will not be able to remove if you have too. Please remember you need a
one leader. We have a group of team leader in every job this helps to eliminate the what happened is isn't working.

Let's do it!
I'M in!
Here's a suggestion. What about creating "work tracks" of sorts? Some suggestions:
* One for sway bars and suspension related work
* Another for gaskets, fans etc. like Folks mentioned
* Heavier work (servos and the like) to leverage Greg's expertise (bring the wallet too)
* One for detailing (I know, not really technical but it's nice to do detailing with your truck on a lift)--underbody stuff too like what Nancy wants to get done
* Another for adding accessories (chrome, grilles, etc).
* Probably should consider this work too Differential Cover a Year Later
* And of course the BSing/gossip track--always a must
I'm sure there are other tracks we can define and assign team leads to as ICBlue has suggested (a great idea in my mind), and we don't need to plan to do everything at our first session of this kind.
I'm not much of a food planner but we should consider this one , maybe donuts and coffee for b-fast; noon cookout of dogs and burgers or the like, then a cruise to somewhere local for a relaxing dinner to unwind after a day of success!?

I have found the squeeking and rattle noise to be loose sockets. When you have vehicle in air take wrench and try tighten socket if it keeps turning you have either loose bolt or defective joint. Most of the time it is loose which causes squeeking and a slight or heavy rattle sound.
We'll be there. I need to get the undercarriage treated for rust. Boyce is really good at installing sway bars, Mike's exhaust, and shortening the gas pedal for you long legged types.

This session is of course, open to any fanatic who cares to make the drive to Weatherford. Even if you don't need any work done you can always help out in the garage etc. There are a lot of fanatics within 4 or 5 hours of us and we would love to have you.
