I'm going to de everything in my power to make it - but if we do, it will probably be friday afternoon before we can head out. I'm up to my eyeballs in work and having to be out of the office all day wed for my nephew, is throwing a wrench in everything

Just got off the phone with my contact at Peggy Sue's Diner confirming our 6 pm reservation on Saturday evening 10/21/2006 for our "car club" to meet, eat, drink, and be merry...see ya then.
I just noticed that fourhounds won't be joining us. We met them at Ruidoso and enjoyed visiting with them. Maybe next time.
It appears to be a rainy forcast for the area. Oh well, my truck is waterproof. The Houston contingency certainly is no stranger to rain. You have really been blessed lately!
We will be in San Antonio Thursday for a funeral and then arrive in FB on Friday. You guys have a safe trip now, ya hear?

Weather forecast at noon today shows a cool and sunny weekend for the Fredericksburg area.
Cool front moving through tonight and tomorrow bringing a little rain and at least 10 degrees cooler temps.
Skip, Bill, Thumper, and Zainossr (don) are gathering up in Austin around the 12:30 Friday time frame if anyone else wants to wagon train on in with us! Channel 8 on the walkie talkies!

290 construction
Those leaving from Austin, be aware that there is some construction along 290 between Austin and 281 through Dripping Springs. Last time I encountered it, there was lots of loose gravel from highway resurfacing.
A smoother, but further alternate route out of Austin would be to travel West on 71 toward Marble Falls and then head south on 281 to Johnson City where you will head west on 290 to Fredericksburg.
Further drive but a very scenic one, lots of hills.

Thanks for the tip; don't need no stinkin rock chips!
Where is everyone going to be at noon on Saturday? I can't make the whole weekend, but I'd like to drive down and meet for lunch if there is a group plan.
I have made arrangements for a Friday night dinner get together.(guessed at around 40)
Mamacita's Mexican Food at 6pm. It is reserved in my name and SSR car group. I requested separate checks and he said that would not be a problem.
The cafe is directly across the street from the Sunday House.
I told them I would call Wednesday night late with a more accurate number attending since we are leaving on Thursday morning.
Please let me know who will be attending so I can make a better guess at the number.
Melvin and Johna
blueroadster06 and redrodder will be there about 7 00 or 7 30
Will there be any food left for us??? (4)
we are leaving from New Braunfels around 530 or so

Come on over, we will all probably still be visiting at that time. Not everyone will arrive at the same time. Our group dinners are never short and alot of fun for everyone.

Hey Chris, I think Saturday everyone may be scattered but I would suggest you drive to the Sunday House there on Main Street as you arrive in town as I am almost certain there will be a parking lot full of SSRs and owners gathered around them. Hope to see you there.
You have my cell# if you need to get in touch with me. If we decide to do a ride, I will call you.
OP
We are leaving for Fredericksburg now. We will double check our reservations for Friday night. We counted everyone that is coming in the reservation No.
Everyone take care and have a safe trip. Looking forward for a great SSR-Fanatic time.
