Roller Derby - Houston Part II
Knapp Chevrolet is once again sponsoring the Roller Derby in Houston on Sunday, July 16th. Wayne and Bill and myself are going to attend the event again. This time there will be some promotional incentives in the way of Gift Certificates for Chevrolet Parts for those who bring their SSRs. And as always, V.I.P. seating for all of us. Last time was a Hoot! Let's do it again! More details to follow.

John- Count us two in for the roller derby. Also send the information for place and time. Have you had your wind suppresser installed yet? We are taking the Silver Belle up to Austin next Friday to get one installed.
Thanks
Melvin and Johna

The organizers of this event would like us to have our SSRs in the parking lot early, 5:30 to 6:00 PM since the parking lot fills up early. Doors are to open at 6:00PM and the games begin at 7:00PM. Last time we did this, we all met at Pappa's BarBQue at 8777 S.Main at 4;15 and then went right over to the Derby which is nearby. We do need to get a head count. Anyone else interested, please let us know. Skip, Pretzel, GURU,SSR03,HouTex.......

The actual Roller Derby is at the Arabia Shrine Temple on N.Braeswood just west of Kirby. This is on the Sunday afternoon of July 16th. Guaranteed to be a Blast!
While at work today, the Psycho's visited (roller skates and all). On the 29th, they will be here doing a car wash. (I made sure they didn't climb on top of mine.)
I am looking forward to the meet.
As a show of appreciation, Knapp Chevy officially will give each SSR driver a $50.00 gift certificate towards parts from our parts department (provided there are no more than 12 to 15 SSR's).
Knapp is a sponsor of the Houston Roller Derby and the SSR group makes Knapp and the Roller Derby look good.
Listed below are the people who have said that they will be attending the Roller Debry in Houston on Sunday, July 16th.

Do yall still want to meet at Pappa's BarBQue for dinner, or somewhere else? It is very close to the Arabia Temple, that's why we chose it last time. Certainly open to any other suggestions.

Whatever you decide, just let us all know and we will be there. Anything sounds okay.

I didn't make the last one and I like BBQ; so, I for one, would like to try Pappa out!

Pappa's BarBQue seems to be the answer here. That keeps it simple. Let's plane for 4:15 to 4:30 for meeting at Pappa's Barbque then we will make our way over to the Arabia Shrine Arena.
