Hey Ray

The E&G is still on. The weather is gray and there is a remote chance of rain but we are gonna do it anyway.

Hope everyone will be able to show. It is always nice to have a great meal and relax with great conversation with friends.

Everyone be safe !!!

Great Time

Just wanted to say thanks to all the fanatics that were able to show up for our E&G. The food and conversation was great as always. A special thanks goes out to rjcarbo46 and CJ n Shagy who traveled approximately 5 and 3.5 hours respectively to show up for our get together. Now that is dedication. The rain stayed away long enough to allow us to complete our event, however, on the way back to San Antonio Darlene & I ran smack into a significant rain storm. For awhile there I thought I had gotten over on Mother Nature. Everyone have a wonderful and safe holiday season. Hope to see you all down the road soon.

Hate that I missed this event as I had been looking forward to it since you planned it...but life and work gets in the way more often than naught.

Hope you got my text this morning redrodder and thank you for planning the event.

We had a great time and look forward to the next get together. We need the rain and I for one will not complain. Darvel is coming over to clean my SSR and Carls as a pay back for our entertaining him

WoW What a day..... We met at Home Depot ... and it was cold and windy..
met new friends and saw old friends as well....
Benny I hope your wife is feeling better ........ the weather was cold and she needed your care but thanks for showing this morning....

on to Lockhart and Krews.. the meal was great but the friendship and SSR-ship was better... I think Tom as usual ate the most... his bill looks like the national debt......The bones that he left was given to a stray dog and the dog threw them back at us......poor Cindy....

Steve had some shopping to do in San Marcos and did not go on with us...
Nice to have met him and his wife ..good SSR people...

I was left behind and forgot what route Darvel took to wimberly,,, but we all got there about the same time...the weather improved somewhat(warmer and less wind) The SSR ladies shopped and the men BS'd about their SSR and other manly things
The only shopping the men did was at the candy shop......good stuff

some had to leave after that... but Ray and his lovely wife, and Tom and Cindy,Mrs blue and met up later at the Denny's in New Braunfels...yes Darvel , Tom drove his SSR in the rain...
more food lousy service, but good conversation between new friends and old friends.....boy can Tom pack the food away...
anyways a good time was had by all
and if you did not make it ,,, you were talked about......and OP I tried to defend you but ,nevermind

I cried out loud. Darlene told me to suck it up but she is not the one who will spend hours detailing my pride and joy.

We understand. I did not get your text but after a while we assumed extenuating circumstances prevented you and Leanne from being able to join us. Will see you all down the road soon. Take care my friends.

Tom

Just let me know when you plan on carrying Carl's butt off. Any ideas about where we are we gonna carry him off to ? Gotta make sure I eat a healthy breakfast on that day. By the way, do I need to make arrangements for getting excavating equipment ? .

Vickie and I had a great time meeting all of you. we had a blast and enjoyed the chat and food. was great to put some faces w all the R forum names. really a great group and fun to be with
was an absolute great weekend and want to thank everyone for being so hospitable.

we will try to attend another
Vickie has a great grandson in Georgetown and we stopped there on the way down and had a blast. took him for a ride in the R and now he wants one and he is 7.

Loved the roads to Wimberly. been a while since i was on those on motorcycle. i need about 10 to 15 more mph on average on those roads and would have been a real blast.
i have some roads here like that north of here.

thanks to Darlene for the goody bags. they were great. just snacked on them some more.

after we left we looked for that RV dealer w the teardrop trailers and couldnt find it
found some others but will keep looking
had one tell us point blank they had a christmas party and couldnt take 10 to 15 min to show us some small pull trailers. oh well. their loss

we then went to Austin to find someone playing jazz at a club but none playing so we were driving south on Congress and saw this pizza place called home slice. they had 2 rods and a lowered 60 chevy pickup out there and it was packed
pulled in and couldnt find a spot and there was a Baptist church on the next corner and it had a sign for overflow parking. now that is amazing. went there and it was great. thin pizza, really fresh ingredients and just great sauce. definitely NY style. worth a stop if in Austin
