from 5-7 Pm as long as we have 12 vehicles we can go as a group.
Hopefully we can get the pace truck (Jay ) to come lead the way around the track

$30 for 3 controlled laps, and $10.oo for infield pictures of course you can do more than the 3lap session if we so choose and many of us have in the past
We can plan on eating somewhere afterwards

Specail 5-lap VIP Sessions are also available.

We're jealous!! We did this over a year ago at Phoenix International Raceway, and the 8 R's there took the track without others (except the pace car). This year, they altered the format, and for $50 you could park your vehicle and ride with a Bondurant School driver.... So what? You might be moving faster, but you can do that in a plane and not have the enjoyment of powering around the track yourself! I don't know anyone who went to PIR for their charity laps this year.

OK, I think we can make this gig as I just realized the Fort Worth Main Street car show is over at 4:00 PM and we could make a dash to the speedway in time to be there by 5:00 PM so add us back to the list. I have to be downtown at 4:00 AM Saturday to help set up the car show and other duties so I may need a strong cup of coffee before we get on the track for a few laps.

See you there

That stinks, they should do both, plenty of car clubs to do their own driving and then those other folks who don't have fast, cool cars can ride along with the school driver.
I agree though, it just isn't the same as having your hands on the wheel

Add me to the list. What is the 5-lap special? Are we meeting somewhere to cruise over to TMS? May I suggest Pappas Burgers in Ft. Worth for 3-3:30 pm, then cruise through Ft. Worth pass the Cowtown Cruisin' for a Cure Car Show and then north through the stock yards.

Unfortunately, Due to Hurricane Ike, I will not be able to attend the TMS Laps for Charity this time. Don't worry, the SSR was protected !!! I just need to get things back in order here. No injuries or severe damage to mine or my children's homes so we are all greatful and appreciative of your thoughts and concerns.
See you at a future SSR get-together.

John
