I'm out of state the last weekend of June, otherwise any other weekend I'll attend. Are you thinking Haak Winery or the other one we went to further away?

Would love to see the Motown show this weekend - but have company and it's kinda close to set up a ride. Pfisterlevel's out for the 29th. So which is it - the 15th or the 22nd??

The Sunshine Kids is a wonderful, heart warming thing to do. These kids have fought or are still fighting cancer and they get to come to Texas for Camp and ride around in the coolest cars .

I wish I could do it again this year. but can't! I hope others step up to support this!

The 15th is Father's day. Is the 22nd good for you all? Let's get a group together and have a nice cruise.

Sounds like the 22nd is a lock. Starts at 6:30 PM - want to meet at the Dixie Farm Road station at 5:00 PM and work our way to 35 and then to 6 into Santa Fe? If the last time we did this is any indication, getting there a little early wouldn't hurt to stake out some seats.

They show a menu on the web for the first two in June - but the 2nd just says Menu to be announced. Here's the one for the most recent just as an example

Sliced Brisket Plate
w/ Pinto Beans, Potato Salad and Bread
$9.95

Stuffed Baked Potato
w/ chopped brisket, shredded cheese, sour cream and green onions.
$6.95

Sausage on a Stick
$3.95

Pecan and Cherry Tartlets
$2.95 w/ ice cream $3.95

I just checked the group for the 22nd - looks a little weird - the 29th is a guy who does the Blues.

Here's the link - maybe we ought to consider the 29th - I'm good with either one.

So who's going?? Should we keep the 22nd? The more I think about the 29th, the more it's sounds too close to the 4th of July and the parade.

I'm in if it's on the 22nd. I will be in Florida on the 29th. If you all want to go on the 29th, I understand, No hard feelings.(insert punchline here).

That's the deal closer - it's the 22nd. Mrs Houtex just had foot surgery (again) today. Has to have NO weight bearing on the left foot for 3 weeks. So she might not make it - but don't bet on it keeping her down.

So who else is going on the 22nd??

BTW - I'm the butler, housekeeper and chef for the next three weeks.

It was actually a spur of the moment whim. We just stsrted talking about it at Kemah and then did it. We are very spontaneous, us SSR Fanatics !!!!

Hey !!!! I know what that is like. I have had an ankle cast on for three years with a few weeks in between operations. I hope Mrs. Houtex heals. It is important to do what the doctor says.

So far I think we have positive responses from:

Yellow Fever
pfisterlevel
rcreechssr
Jack Kirsch
Randelg
gmpartsguy
houtex

Seven trucks - not bad. If anybody on this list is NOT going to make it - please let me know so we're not waiting on you. The meet spot, for those that haven't been there, is the service station after you go eastbound on Dixie Farm Road from I45. The DFR exit from 45 is one exit south of the Sam Houston Tollway.

The party's still open - come on and join us.
