South Texas Get together for this weekend

Passing this on from Jack Kirsch

November 19th Cruise and Picnic

Jack Kirsch and Tina Szajko are inviting fellow members to participate in a cruise and picnic this Saturday, November 19th, weather permitting. The cruise will leave from the Exxon Station at the corner of Huffmeister and Highway 290 (just West of Highway 6 on Houston's northwest side) at 10:00 AM sharp.

Our cruise will take us to Brenham for a visit and tour of the Pleasant Hill Winery, followed by a picnic. Food and drinks will be provided by your hosts. The picnic will be at a park located at Hickory Creek, off Highway 36 (just before Bellville).

For those that can make a day of it, after the picnic we will proceed into Bellville for a conducted tour of the old Austin County Jail and possible shopping at some of the classic Bellville shops and/or Antique Mall.

Upon completion, evening will be approaching and Bellville has at least six (6) notable restaurants, with excellent food and reasonable prices, for to further entertain your riding companion. Ask your hosts for restaurant recommendations.

After dining, we can all re-meet at Buffalo Creek Winery, on Highway 36, on the south side of Bellville, for a nightcap. At that point you can continue south (on Highway 36) to Sealy, pick up Interstate highway 10 and return to Houston.

Both the Houston Chevrolet Club and SSR Fanatics are invited to attend. You can participate in as much or as little of what the hosts are offering as you want. In other words, come and go at will. We look forward to seeing you so, pray for no rain and a fun day for all.
