SSR Stolen from Dealership

1GCES14H96B121595

I received this message from Paul & Chris at North Freeway Hyundai that this Pacific Blue SSR was stolen from their lot, which as most of you know is located in Houston, TX.

Hi Dale,
We had an SSR stolen from us last week. A salesman was in the passenger seat & the thief was in the driver’s seat while the engine was running. We don't allow test drives without a driver's license and the salesman wasn't planning to leave the lot yet. The guy told the salesman to shut the door & he was taking the SSR. He indicated he had the salesman's card, knew his name and that they would hurt him if he didn't comply. Fortunately he complied and was dropped off a couple of miles down the road. We want to share the VIN so you have it and we were hoping you could create a post with the VIN and let everyone know it's stolen. Maybe it will pop up some time, although I suspect they'll try to part it out. 1GCES14H96B121595. Thanks. Chris & Paul

One can hope the truck surfaces but it seems unlikely given the brazen nature of the theft. I imagine as the guys suggested it will be parted out so keep an eye out for signs of PacBlue body parts etc. It is a 3SS, no chrome package, chrome wheels, satin boards & gauges.

That is mighty brazen. Time for the Houston Car salesman to start carrying.

I normally would agree, but I'm afraid the salesman would put a hole in the SSR. Don't want to do that.

If it was last week then its already to late. By now its on a ship to no telling what location. I love Lojack and or OnStar. But these thiefs probably knew how to get around those systems.
