Super Chevy Show at Houston Raceway Park this weekend

Anybody going to the Super Chevy Show this weekend and Houston Raceway Park? I'm entering the SSR in the Car Show portion, along with my '48 Olds Street Rod. It's $45 to enter but you get to watch the races, too. If you are interested, you can register you car for the show on Saturday morning between 8:00 and 9:15 a.m. at Ron Craft Chevrolet in Baytown, and have a free breakfast on him. Then at 9:30 a.m. all those that registered their cars for the show will have a police escort over to the Raceway. If any of you Fanatics can make it, let know and we can bunch up. All of this information is on the Houston Raceway's website Houston Raceway Park | Home

Sorry - got hung up on a building project (cabinets in the garage) and it ate up the whole day. How was the event?

Well, the Super Chevy Show was a great success because more cars turned out for the show than was expected. They ran out of goodie bags for participants. The preregistration at Ron Craft Chevrolet was overwhelming, long lines, etc., but the trip to the Raceway was exciting. We had a police escort all the way. Only one other SSR was in the show. Never got to talk to the owner. Larry Jones drove his SSR to the show but didnt' enter it. The races were great. Had a wheel standing (All the way down the track) car there. Also a jet car. I couldn't stay for both days and therefore didn't get judged. Had a great time though.
