There is a need for convertible vehicles to drive in the Veterans Day Parade on 11/11/2011 in downtown Dallas. There are a large number of WWII veterans that need a ride in the parade. I have committed to being in the parade and to be the point of contact for our group. We would have to be in the assembly area at 9am. More details and a map will be available shortly. This a great opportunity for members of our group to be of service to the veterans. Let me know ASAP if you are available for this event as I have to give a number to the organizers.
I need all parade participants to email me at, pedwards@gte.net, your email address so I can send you a map and instructions.
So far we have ssr3, Focks, JimP, and wildcat66 plus me to be in the parade. We need more SSRs.

I want to thank Focks and SSR3(Bob) for giving a veteran a ride in the parade. The weather was great and the parade was well attended. I hope your WWII veteran passenger was as interesting as mine was. The rest of you missed a great opportunity. Thanks again for volunteering.
