Went to Good Guys today at Texas Motor Speedway. Saw another black SSR in the parking lot, prob the guy who left an SSR Fanatics card on my windshield.

Okay, I confess, I've been sluffing off myself, but have been busy with the Oldsmobile Club activities. Last weekend we went on a "Poker Run" cruise to Fayetteville, a quiant little town west of Houston, stopping in Bellville, at the famous "Newman's Bakery", Nelsonville, Industry, and coming finally to Fayetteville, and along the way there are rolling hills and there were no Bluebonnets yet, but now there would be, so if anyone is interested in doing that cruise, I would be willing to put something together, initial starting point, and, if you want to do a "Poker Run", I'll do that also. If you have not done the Poker Run before, each hand costs $10 and you start off at a designated starting point and along the cruise you draw a card until you have five and the person with the best hand wins the pot.

Some of the Dallas area folks were at Wecks this morning for breakfast, including Denny and his wife from Kansas. Weather's great, suns up late and we're all back outside after a long cold winter.

Last event I tried with a blast email resulted in only three responses - two couldn't make it. Didn't hear back from anybody else. But willing to try again. What do you have in mind, Carl?

I was thinking about a run or event.... in the areas of La Grange columbus,
Brenham,,,,Schunlenburg ... there alot of little cities with some good shops for the ladies.......this is between the two cities and close enought for the Austin Fanatics also
I haven't seen the normal Texas posts for the Dallas and Houston folks lately. Is there another site that y'all are using?

Here's a thread by Waldo-jr regarding a April mod day get together. I went to one of his mod days a few months back, he has a great buch of friends and cooks a mean brisket. You can sit back and relax or do some modification to your SSR , he has the tools and the know how to help you do almost anything. Greater Houston Area - SSR Community

Sounds like a great idea...
like 4/16...right after tax day, ya know to celebrate!
Has anyone thought about a Possum Kingdom run or a hill country day drive? My dad's Harley group did an all day ride in the hill country, it was beautiful. Just another idea to throw on the table
