Where Is Everybody?

I haven't seen the normal Texas posts for the Dallas and Houston folks lately. Is there another site that y'all are using?

I look everyday but I see no one has said anything for the Houston area. But lets see if we can stir something up. Anyone intersted?

Okay, I confess, I've been sluffing off myself, but have been busy with the Oldsmobile Club activities. Last weekend we went on a "Poker Run" cruise to Fayetteville, a quiant little town west of Houston, stopping in Bellville, at the famous "Newman's Bakery", Nelsonville, Industry, and coming finally to Fayetteville, and along the way there are rolling hills and there were no Bluebonnets yet, but now there would be, so if anyone is interested in doing that cruise, I would be willing to put something together, initial starting point, and, if you want to do a "Poker Run", I'll do that also. If you have not done the Poker Run before, each hand costs $10 and you start off at a designated starting point and along the cruise you draw a card until you have five and the person with the best hand wins the pot.
Don

Some of the Dallas area folks were at Wecks this morning for breakfast, including Denny and his wife from Kansas. Weather's great, suns up late and we're all back outside after a long cold winter.

Here's a thread by Waldo-jr regarding a April mod day get together. I went to one of his mod days a few months back, he has a great buch of friends and cooks a mean brisket. You can sit back and relax or do some modification to your SSR , he has the tools and the know how to help you do almost anything.

Has anyone thought about a Possum Kingdom run or a hill country day drive? My dad's Harley group did an all day ride in the hill country, it was beautiful. Just another idea to throw on the table

Start from where? If we're going to meet somewhere in the middle - where's that.

Ship Channel Crossing

I was wondering if anyone would want to do the Houston Ship Channel Crossing like we did a few years ago?

Crossings:

I-610 East Bridge
Washburn Tunnel
Fred Hartman Bridge
Lynchberg Ferry

End up at Besaw's BBQ and Burgers (not Monument Inn) for Lunch

Tour San Jacinto Monument and the Battleship Texas
