Made reservations today, for the THIRD ANNUAL ALL GM SHOW.
Show date is OCTOBER 4, 2008

Friday Nite, Oct 3rd. We are going home Saturday Night.
We are in at $55.00 including tax.

I have been told that the price increases as we get close to the Show Date.

Denny's Next door/open 24/7
Steak & Shake 1/4 mile
Silver Springs accross the street from the Hotel.

There is a Friday nite Cruise, sponcered by NPD (National Parts Depot).

I will post more on the Cruise, later.

Thanks EL Dicktator---We have made our reservations for Thursday and Friday Nites and Maybe Sat Nite if we plan something Sunday or Sat Night

Just made res. at the Days Inn Thurs, Fri and Sat. We will do the ride to Cedar Key on Friday a.m. early so we booked for Thurs. Already sent in the form to NPD.

Best to check out the reviews at the Days Inn as to how filthy and infested it is...............I went with a new Holiday Inn Express nearby. Cost was $97 for double queen beds refundable but nothing but great reviews.

I'm late seeing this one... and I was just there when ya'll started this thread. I'm guessing we're in too. The "barn" is just up at the top of the forest there, due north of Silver Springs. We have an extra queen sleeper sofa, a queen air mattress and 2 twin beds available if anyone's interested. Not for the faint of heart.... 35 mile drive through the forest full of suicidal Bambies, dirt and gravel drive on the property, partial construction at the barn and no one to cook you breakfast (unless CrossCheckFreak comes). Plenty of wildlife and view of lake. Got vodka, tequila, rum and moonshine. Rustic, but ya'll are welcome.

BTW... Heed vetteman's advice. Silver Springs is an old part of Ocala, with old motels... From the outside the Knights Inn (?) appears to be the newest and most modern. Can't vouch for the others...

Gary (Vetteman62) sent me an email w/link to Days Inn and the rating is not good.
He is in at Holiday Express, more $$ but not that much. I am thinking about checking it out myself.

I will post my findings.

The SSr Party Barn has had 2 reservations... One will BYOB (bring your own bed) and the other has the sleeper sofa. Still have one blow-up (sounds like Lonnie's kinda place) queen mattress and 2 twin beds.

Oh... I just learned to never judge a book by it's cover. Do not make a reservation at the Knight's Inn, disreguard my suggestion earlier: Knights Inn Ocala (Ocala, FL) - Motel Reviews - TripAdvisor

Going to kick the beds, see what comes out, kinda sorta, we will post our finding.

Jeff drove and I was a passenger to Silver Springs today to visit the Days Inn.

And it was a pleasant surprise, VERY NICE!!

Gary,Vetteman62 information was OLD and the WRONG Hotel. It was on the net that way.

It seems that the Days Inn that had the bad rating was and is now the Knights Inn down the street.

The Now, Days Inn across from Silver Spings was a Holiday Inn and the new owners have the Days Inn franchise.

They have renovated the Hotel and cater to Car Shows.
They had the Model "T" Show, MG Show, Mustang Show, and Corvette Show.

They provide two wash stations for our cars. They have a small conference room in the back that we can use for free on Friday night, if we wish.
Denny's is owned and operated by the Hotel, open 24hrs.

The owners are pleasent and want to please. Gen.Manager Allison Mellinger (Owner) Showed Jeff and I around and we had lunch at Denny's before we left.

So, those of us that have made reservations there, relax, it's fine.
