Change Radiator Support???

Well, it happen again!

Tom/Ann O'Brien, Black06, were returning from the Florida Chapter Annual Rally on I-4 and were stuck in the center lane at 70ph when they hit the remains of a shopping cart. At least that is what Tom thought it was.

I had changed Tom's radiator support from the plastic OEM one to Mike in AZ Steel Radiator Support about a week before the Rally. GOOD THING!!

Pictures:

1. Only damage was to Mike in AZ, black plastic air dam.
2. Radiator Support and radiator no damage.
3. What is left of OEM support after hitting raccoon at 35 mph.
4. Damage from raccoon to radiator/trans cooler on IRBDennie's SSR. Dennie lives in Indian Rocks Beach, Florida, not far from Dicktator.
5. Able to repair and install a STEEL radiator support on Dennie's SSR.

For those who have not made the change yet to a steel radiator support, may want to concider doing so.

Post from Mike Moro,

Dick,

If you have a spare air dam, please give it to them...... This one's on me. Whatever they hit took out a chip in the powder coating on the support....... is that the extent of the damage to the support?

Mike in AZ

Ann came by the house, I gave her the air dam compliments of Mike Moro. I removed and installed the new one.

3. Ann/Tom O'Brien, Tom had to get in the picture. Ann owns the SSR, Tom only owns a Corvette.
4. Old one off - New one on! All Better!!
