Received the following email from Chuckster, we, Chuck and I were headed to Woodward Cruise but taking care of Karin is more important.

DICK--JUST SENT DEBBIE MY REGRETS OUR ATTENDING WDC....KARIN TOOK A FALL AT HOME TUESDAY AND WE LEARNED THAT SHE HAS A HAIRLINE FRACTURE IN HER LEFT HIP...KARIN IS A KEY PLAYER IN THE BUSINESS WHEN I AM NOT HERE OH WELL I GUESS SHE IS ALL THE TIME...ADD THE ANIMALS THAT NEED CARE AND I JUST CANNOT LEAVE AT THIS TIME...I AM TRULY DISAPPOINTED FOR BOTH OF US..ALTHOUGH YOU COULD FLY UP I GUESS....NOT SURE WHEN AN OPERATION WILL OCCUR...ORIGINALLY SCHEDULED FOR THURSDAY...BUT NOT ON HOLD WHILE THEY DO SOME MORE TESTING....WILL LET YOU KNOW THE OUTCOME....CHUCK

Our Best Wishes for Karin - those fractures can be very tricky to fix, we know Karin does not like being down. We also know how much you where looking forward to your trip.
SORRY to hear this about Karin and sure hope everything turns out OK. This will be
my 1st WDC and I was looking forward to seeing you up there. Sometimes we just have
to do what we have to do.

My thoughts and prayers are with Chuck as I recived the news a few days ago when he had to cancel out of the WDC.......I just love this man with all my heart and I am praying for his wife a strong and speedy recovery. These are times when I wished we didn't live so far away from each other cause I sure would be there to help out.

Thanks everyone for your best wishes....karin is on the mend..out of the hosp this afternoon....6-8 weeks of rehab to come but the 3 screws are holding her together....remember folks as we get older you cannot do the same things at the same pace as we did in our younger years...this was her problem...walking too fast with 20lbs of cat litter in her hand and stepped on something that caused her to lose her balance.....ta dah!! Again we appreciate the encouraging replys....chuck and karin.....
