Dicktator/Open Heart Surgery

Yes, I have a calcified valve and they have determined it is best to repair while I am in otherwise good health.

If I wait, within 18mo., I will have Heart attack and the prognosis would not be good.

SO, gang, much to my chagrin, I will kinda be out of pocket for the next few months.

First I go to have further test to confirm that the ECO is right, don't want to operate if they don't have to.

I feel fine, Doctor says that my health and blood work is excellent.

If you need stuff, you can order from Mike Moro aka SSR Accessories - Simple Engineering

Download my SSR How to Library: https://onedrive.live.com/?id=3EF39D...F39D9F5ADCE5E5

NO I don't want to do this!!

But if they let me take pictures, I will make it a Power Point on my How to Library.

I will be able to answer questions of course, don't write me off totally.

I plan to do Tech Seminar at Nationals in Texas.

Glad to hear that it was caught early enough to fix!

Be Good and do what they tell you to do! Even after you get out of the hospital, rest and take it easy cause you will feel weak. It takes a while for your body to recover from everything.

We will miss you at the Tech Day on the 29th. I assume you won't be coming and instead recuperating!

Dick,
When you said "Engine has a lot of miles, needs a valve job." I thought you were talking about the SSR (not really) but you definitely have a great attitude and that will be very helpful in your recovery. Just know that we all have you in our thoughts and prayers, and will be looking forward to seeing you in Texas in October.

Hey Dick, these days fixing a valve is almost as easy as changing the oil in your "R". These doctors do this every day and know their stuff. Keep your sense of humor, follow the instructions and you will be up and about in no time.
See you in Texas

You are in our prayers, for sure, my friend. We will add our voices to those that lift you and the doctors up for His hands to assist.....

Debbie and I will definitely also keep Kathy in our prayers. She will need all the help she can get. We know she will be the one to keep up with the "on site support" after your surgery.

I'm also wondering if Captain Morgan is included in the post-op diet.
