East Coast-Need Help!

I received a call from Walter/New Jersey, his SSR over heated while going to the Auto Train in Va.

He got it his SSR on the train and will be arriving in Sanford, Fl about 9AM tomorrow.

He has Jeremy's tune, so setting are lower, has Mike fan but it isn't running.

I called Walter and Chuckster and suggested they check the Fan Relays in the fuse panel under the hood. It is the relay at the very back of the fuse box. Have had a problem with the relay loosing contact.

If that is not the problem, I have a NEW Mike's fan at Dicktator's garage and I will be in Plant City at Lonnie's most of the AM tomorrow. I will bring a NEW fan with me in case.

Can someone over on the East Coast get a fan, OEM is OK, to Chuckster, if needed, to get Walter to Lonnie's or Dicktator's Garage tomorrow.

Chuckster/Work # 407-699-5920
Walter #609-560-2199

Thanks in advance.

Your servant

Yes, I'm paying attention.

Let me know what you find. I have spare motors and will be getting fans refurbed weekend.

Spoke with Chuckster late this afternoon and he has all three relays for the Fan. Low speed/high speed and auto.

I suspect it is a relay.

fan problem

Spoke with walter as the train was pulling out of lorton...will meet him in sanford --got the service manual out..will have the relays...got a call from dan--he has had luck tapping the fan assembly--believes dust somehow impedes fan operation...as a minimum will get walter's r to my shop only 7-8 miles from the train station by driving or flatbed if necessary...have a good mechanic with testing equipment to help then...we will letyou all know how the walter saga plays out...chuckstr

Chuck, If you determine it is the fan and it is early enough in the day, I will bring it over or meet you half way.

Hi Dick,

I put two factory fans in my attic before we left. I am sure Lou can get them fairly quickly if you need them.

Come to think of it, Slingshot Lou should have one in Valrico.

Please let me know.

Happy Easter,
Dennis

Walter,

Be sure to send me the old fan. I want to disect that one........ I'll be discussing the failure mode with Flex-a-lite.

The new one that was installed is yours to keep. All I ask is that you ship the old one to me in exchange.

Send the old fan to:

Phoenix, AZ 85048

Glad you are back on the road again....

Mike
