Yeah the new battery doesnt help so I guess next step is the ignition switch. So can I get one from you? I saw the forum about how to change it..so I hope I can do it. Is it strange that I cant get the key out? I thought for sure that would be a battery related issue. But brand new battery and still has key stuck as well.
I can give you all my other details like address and so on from there.

I spoke to Rodney and he is going by Roger's to get the ignition this afternoon. I have one on the garage shelf if needed. He knows to use the instructions from the forum. Dougs or HRG are both short and sweet. Many types of advice using the search engine.
His SSR is 05 Silver

Yea! one for the Fanatics Florida chapter
Way to go Dick and Roger. Helping the nubie Rodney is what the Fanatics are famous for.
When I talked with Rodney he expressed amazement at the Forum posts and help that Members show and provide.
Not to mention the leadership of the High commander - DICKTATOR!!
Q-tips funny discription and so true...
how about Q-balls for senior bald men?
if your key will not come out is to change the ignition switch?
Not necessarily, could be low/dead battery, switch could be bad on shift assembly, bad ground. Number of things.
But, that said, changing the ignition switch is the least expensive and quickest way (20 min) to possibly correct the problem. Every operation goes Thur the ignition switch.
It is NOT always the switch.
Get Key out, remove lower half of steering column, under ignition. Push up on brass/chrome button under key ignition , KEY COMES OUT.
Hey I am sorry for the delay in this post..... I want to personally thank everyone involved in helping me get out of Cocoa a couple of weeks ago. Dont know how to repay your generosity. Still have a couple of issues I had to leave behind as I will be out of town for the month.....Again thanks a million..... be happy to provide the beer at the next tech day!!!! Isnt that what the trunk is for anyway?
