Emergency NEED HELP!!

East Coast Florida Chapter!!

Have Newbie, stuck in Titusville. Need ignition switch and someone to help him install.

Name Rodney Silver SSR 05 Site Name - Rodjli

Here is the information, I just spoke with him.

Would someone call him, Please!!

Thanks in advance.

Dicktator

Yeah the new battery doesnt help so I guess next step is the ignition switch. So can I get one from you? I saw the forum about how to change it..so I hope I can do it. Is it strange that I cant get the key out? I thought for sure that would be a battery related issue. But brand new battery and still has key stuck as well.

I can give you all my other details like address and so on from there.

Thanks for any help you can offer.
Rodney

In a pinch, he could pull the covers off and clean the contacts.

Roger Lewis, Sharptoys in Titusville has a New Switch and Rod is going to pick it up at his house.

He has instructions for the change from our Site, plus I told him he could call me and I would talk him thru the change.

Exclamation

I spoke to Rodney and he is going by Roger's to get the ignition this afternoon. I have one on the garage shelf if needed. He knows to use the instructions from the forum. Dougs or HRG are both short and sweet. Many types of advice using the search engine.
His SSR is 05 Silver

WAY TO GO, Dicktator . . . you deserve an award for your eagerness to help a stranded fanatic.

In fact, I have been so impressed reading this thread that I'm thinking about moving to Clearwater . . . possibly next door to you.

Just remember, FLORIDA IS THE GERIATRIC WARD OF THE U.S.

So, if you can drive in the FAST lane at 30 mph with your LEFT directional signal on constantly. You may be ready for Florida.

So, if you can recognize a car full of "Q Tips". Six short white haired women in a car. You are ready for Florida.

So, if you can eat DINNER at 4 pm. You are ready for Florida.

So, if you can play 300 BINGO cards at one time, but can't VOTE for one candidate on a ballet. You are ready for Florida

Just a few requirements for Florida Residence.

Come on down!!

Not necessarily, could be low/dead battery, switch could be bad on shift assembly, bad ground. Number of things.

But, that said, changing the ignition switch is the least expensive and quickest way (20 min) to possibly correct the problem. Every operation goes Thur the ignition switch.

It is NOT always the switch.

Get Key out, remove lower half of steering column, under ignition. Push up on brass/chrome button under key ignition , KEY COMES OUT.
