Fay, Fay Go Away
I've been thinking of all my fanatical friends on the Gulf Coast and Central Florida. I hope ya'll and your trucks stay safe through the weather the next couple of days. It's not gonna be pretty. Please stay safe.
We're fine here. (except the school's are closed today & tommorow ) It's been raining since pre-dawn and we're startin' to get some gusts, but for once my part of the state should be fine.
Thanks for all the calls, pm's and e-mails.

Thanks Doug... I'm sending the boys.
It's not even really rainy or windy now... I'm more concerned for the Tampa area folks. I wish we could send some of this rain to grandma, Gina and HeartBeat though. It's the steady, soaking-in type.

Tampa Visit !
Jan and I are flying into Tampa on Wednesday Morning - Supposed to be there around 10 AM. From there we're heading over to Lakeland to start looking for our new home.
Dick-tator says to ignore all the damaged homes and concentrate on the ones that survive. I'm sure we'll all have something to talk about at our gathering on Saturday evening.
Of course I'm assuming that we can get our plane to land in Tampa !

Well our fearless Dicktator does have a good point. It's better to look at property after a good soaking here... that way you won't be suckered into buying some of our famed swampland. I hope it all blows away by the time ya'll are due to arrive.

I got to the store for some essentials, Wine and Oreos.. Charcoal for the grill in case we lose power. Just keep an eye on the weather channel and where ever Jim Cantorie is - I don't want to be. Right now he's in Naples. Schools are closed Tues and wed here. I will be 'beachcombing' after the sea resides.. Hunker down - Be safe, stay home. Listen to the Song of the Hurricane. Nature gets wild but the air smells so good and the sky so blue after the visit......

We are doing okay here in Lake Worth, however we are under a tornado watch. A tornado was reported to have touched down in Wellington. The rains and winds are coming in bands which is really weird since it feels like its over then it starts again. Some of the streets are flooded and there are some power lines down. But all in all, it's not so bad. We will survive.
Hope everyone else in Florida is doing okay. Stay safe and dry.

Based On The Latest Tue Am Reports We In The Central Fl Area Will Be Rained And Winded On But By Thu Am Normal Conditions Will Be Back In Play-whatever Normal Is For Fl....looking Forward To Dinner Sat...chuckstr
Surprise, surprise. About 8:30am and the Ocean is tearing it up. Gust about 75mph according to the weather guy down on the beach. Quite a windy storm. Single malt Scotch with Orange juice. I might put down Hurricane shutters on the Ocean side of the Condo as its 8 sliding glass doors and the wind can force the water thru but the angry Ocean is neat to see. Anybody out there with a surfboard or para-sail is nuts. Did you see the guy on the news flying thru the air and slamming into a building across from the ocean?? That smarts....
