1) CRUISING Old-Town (Kissimmee, Fl.) We will be leaving Orlando and Cruising to "Old-Town" 5 PM from the Eagles and All of us will "Drive down Main Street" and enjoy the sight and sounds of "Old-Town" in Kissimmee, FL (for more info ck Old Town: Shopping, Dining, Entertainment Attraction, Amusement Park and Car Cruises in Kissimmee, Florida )-and have a TopDown Nite-Cruise back to Orlando to the "Eagles" to enjoy the BAND.......for more info check - Brian's(Old-TownCruisier) post #58 this thread

2) You are invited to join us at the Fraternal Order of Eagles #3496 for DINNER & DANCING till 11P.M.. Dinner at the Eagles will be available by menu, if you wish and will be served from 6:00 - 8:00 pm There will be dancing and the Live Music by "Denny & The Jetts" (50,60,70 & 80's) Till 11pm --
3) Also, A Late Nite Idea, for those who wish -we will go to the "OYSTER BAR " in (Rio Pinar Plaza)

SATURDAY, January 17, 2008
SSR Fanatics will depart the Orlando "Eagles" Lodge at 8:30am
Cruise to the "Yalaha German Bakery", (Yum, Yumm) Leaving Orlando (Eagles) at 8:30 am --
or those driving-in~ can meet us ~10am.-12.noon the Bakery 8210 CR 48, YALAHA, FL 34797(Howey-in-the Hills, FL) for the (Free) Live intertainment ( Music by "Sweet Tea") starting at 10 am till 12 Noon. (The Cruise to Bakery from Eagles 55.7 Fun-miles)

We will then cruise back to (Eagles)...via Mt. Dora, Apopka and other points (FUN)...

1:00 pm - 3:00 - SSR Cruise thru Central Fl with stops along the way and/cruise thru a few Steak & Shakes & Sonic's (like the good old days - bring your favorite partner)~~
(Lunch will be at the Sonics -155 E SR 434, Longwood, FL 32750) (The return Cruise is 69.2 Fun-Miles)

3:00 - 5:30 - Our SSR Fanatics Truck Show/Meet & Greet (SSR Fanatics) at the Fraternal of Eagles #3496. During this time there will be vendors and a professional tuner (Jeremy Formato - "FasterProms").

Appetizers and drinks (cash bar) Available at the Eagles #3496.

5:30 pm - 8:00 pm - Dinner* (at the Eagles)- Choice of either Steak or Shrimp (or both), Baked Potato & Salad (you will have a Nice Steak at a reasonable price $10).
6:00PM - Till --We will have a good olde 50/60's sock hop with DJ Bob for dancing!!. BTW- DJ Bob will be spinning records off and on all day for our entertainment. Door Prizes, Awards, Give-a-ways and 50/50. etc.

NEW UPDATE - "THE BROTHERS GOOD" - one of the Bands that play at the "Eagles" regularly, decided to join with our DJ BOB and play a few additional sets for our Listening and Dancing pleasure- John and Mark Good are Car/Truck Guys and decided to help make our Rally even Better, Thank Guys.

Group breakfast location to be determined.

9:30 am --A Cruise to the "FUN SPOT USA" Where you will test your skills as a race car (mini SSRs) against other Fanatics to "find out which Color of SSR is the Fastest and Comes in First!! -- Fantastic Road Course (Multi-level)- Cool Race Cars (you-drive "Large Go-Karts")- Can you be the Winner? Prizes and Awards to Winners.

Also available, for more Daring "SSR Fanatic Individuals"-- You can sign-up for Hang-Gliding (Early AM Sunday morning -to take advantage of the upwinds) we send you ~~Up, Up and Away~~

AND OF COURSE IF YOU ARE VISITING THE ORLANDO AREA --There's Disney World, Universal, SeaWorld etc. etc.

Sunday Events will be voted on at dinner Saturday nite

I like the Saturdays schedule. If I can get in touch with any others that will be around Friday night, there is a Cool Drive-in that isnt too far. SilverMoon Drive-In. They play the audio that you pick up thru the stereo...anyway that would be a lot of fun if the Jan weather is the usual PERFECT for topdown Drive-In enjoyment. Just a thought. I really like what Michael has planned out and we should all get together for the Steak Dinner...

Same here with going back to work making money is a good thing but not having time for all these runs sucks. So have to pick and chose the ones I make. Going to make Maggie Valley for sure the rest will be touch and go.

This event occurs at the same time the North American Veterinary Conference does in Orlando. Won't make the 2009 event, but perhaps the 2010 or 2011 or 2012 or..... (it occurs each January around the same time of the month).

If we do, we would love to meet some of the local SSRfanatics.

Well we made our reservations this morning, only to find out that no smoking rooms were reserved for the SSR group. After a bit of haggling we were able to get a smoking room at the SSR rate, but not totally confirmed. I don`t know about the rest of you smokers out there, but I`m getting really annoyed being descriminated against. I`m not blamming those that organized this, I`m talking about the hotels, restaurants and such.

Well that`s my 2 cents.

Looking forward to seeing all you guys in January, and MERRY CHRISTMAS TO ALL, AND TO ALL A GOOD NIGHT!

We have to attend a retirement party on Friday night for a Captain from the Pinellas County Sheriff’s Dept.
