We stay on Sanibel Island. It is just outside of Ft. Myers on the Gulf side. We will spend less time there this winter due to the recent addition of two new granddaughters.
My wife and their grandmother prefers the warmth provided by them and her grandson than that of the warm Florida sunshine.
I used to blame the time spent away from Florida as "Spouse Tax", but those little ones sure do tend to make you smile. If I would have known that grandkids were this much fun, we would have had them first.
