Sorry to find you having to battle that. We don't care what the nose turns out like, it's your spirit we love! Anyhow the R's look bitchin' with the top up as well.
Dick..........Only YOU, can take this negative news and turn it into something funny.............love your great sense of humor! You need to add some SSR decor to your new driving helmet. Take care!
WELL, YOU'RE NOTHING LIKE PINOCCHIO!! HE COULD NEVER WEAR THAT HAT WITH HIS NOSE..... BUT, LIKE HIM, YOU COULD STILL PUT A FEATHER IN IT!!
OUR PRAYERS ARE WITH YOU - AND YOUR GREAT "NURSE KATHY!"
HOPE TO SEE YOU NEXT THURSDAY NIGHT

Keeping your sense of humor is half the battle. Our friend had the same type of melanoma on her nose and to-day you would never know it. So best of Luck.

With those extra holes in your head you should create a really nice whistle when you're driving down the road with the top down.
That said, on a more serious note, I keep a tube of Neutrogena broad-spectrum SPF 100+ in my truck. When I go out with the top-downg, I put it all over my face, nose and the tops of Ears Yeah, up on my four head too.
Dictators pointed out a very important lesson for us all. When you put the top down, you're more susceptible to burning your face and your head.
While it's fun to laugh and make jokes about it, it's a very serious situation. Don't take chances with your health.
It's unfortunate, but it's an important reminder for us all. Dictator I'm sorry this is happened to you, I'll pray for your quick recovery.

sorry to hear about the melanoma. My dermatologist told me a week ago that I don't have it. Remember; you can pick your friends but don't pick your nose

You are a gem.. Hope all goes well for you. My Mom suffers from the same malady and it has taken about 4 years to get it right but they did. Hoping the same for you!

Well, Good News! They got all the Cancer, at least for now, back in six weeks for checkup.
Decided not to use “Skin Blowout Patch”, get it “Nose Blowout Patch”. Never mind.
Doc said to use lots of plain Vaseline to keep the area moist. I told Doc I don't own a Plane but I would find some.
Antibiotic for the next 14 days which I will take with Capt’ Morgan, got to wash it down with something.
Doc said “No Patch” will leave a scar but I figure that I’m under the Hood, under the Dash, under the SSR or under the covers. (Not going to tell what I am doing under the covers) so no one will notice.
Before you ask, YES, under the covers, if I didn’t have “Hardening of the Arteries” I wouldn’t have any sex at all.
So, Florida Chapter Fanatics, guess you will be stuck with me for a while.
THANKS TO SSR FANATICS EVERYWHERE!!

Dick you have one of the greatest attitudes of anyone I know, only you could come up with the shower bucket. I'm surprised that with all of your talents that you did'nt fix your nose yourself. I'm glad to hear that your cancer free. Keep up the humor, we love it.
I had the same type of surgery a couple of years ago and all is well now to the best of my knowledge. I love your sense of humor and wish you a full and speedy recover.

way to go
Hi Dick,
Sounds to me like you have things pretty well under control. You make a good case for us old guys to visit a dermatologist regularly.
For a minute I was worried after I read your first post and started scrolling down. I was afraid you might have to go for chemo and lose your hair or something.... Then I read the update and breathed a sigh of relief.
Not only did they get the melanoma, but likely you won't be snoring any time soon.
