OK, I installed a Chin Spoiler on my 04 and it looks good, NOW!
I started by having it painted BLACK, thinking that black would look good with the black stripes on my R, NOT!!
I had some input from Mike in AZ, who said "What were you thinking"!!!
Also some one said "Looks like Black Snot, hanging under your R"!!
So, with all that good and positive advise, I had it repainted SSR Silver and now it looks really good.
Next week, I may try painting it RED, only kidding.

1. Black Spoiler
2. Notice it disappears.
3. My assistant Bald Brother, Tony, Golfer2, helping with install. (HE did it all)
4. Done
5. I think it looks good, ONLY 41/2" clearance though.
My SSR: Pac Blue '06, HID conversion, LEDs for ALL lights, 20"/22" rims, AirPod suspension,
I didn't hate it in black (at least from your pic) but I think you would have had to continue the theme and do your running boards and something on the rear in black to carry it. I do like the final result tho!
Just curious what the 5 center screws are for? DO they mount to the air dam strip, or are they to add one on to?
My SSR: '03 #01155 Painted stripes, Flomaster, K&N air system, Port/polished Throttle Body, Custom Tuned

Dick, paint the whole truck red and keep the black stripes...then you have a cool truck! Just kidding, your SSR really looks good! One of the best around!

As Mike in AZ so rightly pointed out "If you want a part to disappear, paint it Black". As you can see from the picture in my drive, the Black Spoiler DISAPPEARED!
And there is Black on the running boards and down the bed and tail gate.
It just looked BAD!
The screws are attached to Mike in AZ STEEL radiator support. I am going to put Chrome caps on the screw heads.

Dick, feels good to have the invite and I know you really mean it .
Kim & I will be making our June Daytona trip in "June" , and might make a detour. Have known Kathy's Dad has been ill for a while and having gone through the same, we know how that can drain a family.
Praying for Kathy, her Dad, their family, and You...
Just an Idea. Go to a local sign or wrap shop. see if they will sell you some clear Vinyl or clear "BRA" material Also known as Protection Film) put that on that size would be easy to do yourself. Bugs wipe off really easy from film. And you wont mar or smear yellow & red guts on your spoiler. just a thought. i don't have any more left if I get some I will send it to you. If you find a shop it shoudld be only about $15-$20.

It was about time that you got the spoiler installed considering how many months
you had it. Looks great and the price was right..............
Tony mentioned to me about my screws showing at Old Town so I had to dab
some yellow paint on them. As you know, I have all kinds of chrome caps but
the caps show up more then the paint.

That Chin Spoiler looks great painted Silver. Are those available in the aftermarket world,or here in the SSR world. It sure makes your SSR SMILE,and looks Awesome.
I got the spoiler used, paid for it and let is sit in my garage while I decided IF I wanted to install and what color.
The spoiler only allows me 4 1/2" clearance, which has made a BIG curb feeler like Dennis Miller pointed out. That has been a concern to me.
The color, Oh Well, I picked BLACK, which my Wife advised against, as usual, she was right. Silver is the right color although I have a lot of Black on my R.
The spoiler is made by 3G, I don't have a link, but Roger Lewis, Sharptoys found them for me. I am sure he can post it for us or you can PM him.

Hi Dick,
Was not too many years ago I got up in the morning and ended up with a profile of yours truly in the mirror. I had more chins than Alfred Hitchcock. Decided to grow a beard which is my chin spoiler.
I like your new spoiler. Can you enlighten me on your reasons for securing the spoiler in the center with the 5 screws? Was the original attachment method with two sided tape or?

Jerry, Good to hear from you my Friend.
The five holes are pre-drilled in the 3G spoiler to mount to the STEEL radiator support. Along w/3M tape on the edge with screws on each end, inside fender.

I also have a 3G's chin spoiler and I'd suggest that you should consider using the clear protective material to cover as much of the front surface as possible.
After one season mine needs repainting due to gravel chips.
I scraped the bottom of mine coming out of the motel parking lot in M/V last year so I HIGHLY recommend that you enter and exit driveways at an angle to hopefully prevent scraping yours also.
When I put the "bra" on, I leave the lower front tabs undone, but I use a really small bungee on the lower corners of the bra and hook them in behind the spoiler. I use 3-4 layers of the blue "painters" masking take to protect the paint from the bra tabs where the bungee cord connects to the bra.
This take comes off easily and I carry the roll on trips to re-apply the next time the bra goes on.
BTW, you can reach the 3G's owner by PM'ing doogie48084

Thanks Dicktator!!
I had a perfect opportunity to get the radiator support from you since my SSR in having a little surgery this week (see my post on the GM Bulletin regarding Engine Block Porosity in the Tech Section).
Once this is resolved I can see whats left in the SSR Piggy Bank for more stuff.
