Head to FLORIDA to pick up 06

Howdy,
We are flying out to Ft. Lauderdale Saturday April 26 to pick-up 06 and then driving back to Dallas area. Any suggestion for pit stops along the way?
We plan to stay with Kathjim Saturday night after a small detour to Key Largo and say hello to waysouth6speed. then Sunday April 27 start heading home and pit stop to meet beach potato along I-75. we will over night in Gulport, MS with my brother and head to Dallas Monday Morning.

Interesting, I've got one shipping from Pompano (just north of Ft. Lauderdale) to San Antonio, TX. Will ship sometime this week on a 10 car private transport. Couldn't bring myself to drive the Gulf coast this time of year.

You missed a great opportunity as this is the quiet time of year along the Gulf Coast and the chance to have the sun in your face and get some road time in that "R".

Think the first days trip will be a killer. From Ft. Lauderdale to Gulfport is about 800 miles. Just getting to Crestview on I-10 is about 600 miles. From Crestview to Dallas is about 725 miles....you've got a major two day trip ahead of you. You may want to reconsider how it gets split up, especially since you want to visit along the way.

It was so nice to meet with them, and give them a tour of Ft. Lauderdale. Have a safe and Happy trip Home. They will not be able to meet up with any of the SSR friends as they are on a tight time schedule

I was bummed our outing to the Keys was a no go, but I'm glad to hear that they got everything fixed and that they'll enjoy that awesome new truck.
