I had a gas gauge that went south. The speedo was also starting to 'jump' and not smooth in the transitions up/down.

I've posted for help (on SSR site) for handling the instrument cluster removal/repair. Also got quotes from the Chevy dealerships which ran between $550-$650 (they don't want to repair, only replace the cluster with the same bad stepper motors.
Today I found a shop in Tampa that removed the cluster, repaired ALL the motors and reinstalled the cluster for - get this - $195 COMPLETE!

Andrew of DNA Speedometers, Inc. did the job. I can't say enough about his attention to detail.
So here is the contact information. They will also repair the cluster if you want to take it out yourself.
