Just found this thread. We are new owners of a silver '06. We live in Land O Lakes and wouldn't mind a trip to Ocala on the first, but I have no concept of what is involved in attending an event like this. Is it too late to even consider?
Wouldn't mind driving up to meet some of the other SSR owners even if we weren't officially entered. Can you provide some detail or guidance.
Corky and Claudia
Dear, Corky and Claudia, YOU are now a member of the most active Fanatic Chapter in the Country!
Okay, I will PM you with more information but here is the latest. NPD runs the ALL GM SHOW at Silver Springs Park.
FRIDAY: SSR Fanatics arrive on Friday, stay at the Day's Inn, which I understand is full, you will have to find something close if you want to stay over. Dinner is whatever.
SATURDAY: Morning we will be lining up to go into the Park, NO LATER THAN 9AM. We MUST be in the Park by 10AM, NO EXCEPTIONS!!
We leave the Park at 5PM. Quick visit to your Hotel and off to Horse and Hounds for Dinner, 6PM to 6:15PM.
Most of us leave on Sunday Morning after Breakfast.
Well, we were successful in getting a room at the Days Inn. See you Friday the 30th. We plan to attend the dinner Saturday evening. Please add us to the list of attendees. See you in a couple of weeks.

Help!
I need a little help Dicktator will look after my 57 Chevy Friday and Saturday. Linda and I were thinging about going up Thursday afternoon and staying at Anne and Roberts barn. That would mean the 57 would be in Silver Springs Thursday night. The classic cars are respected and left alone but I would need a parking spot for it. Any suggestions?

Pete, Didn't take long to get some answers, did it?
Bill and Myra are the Best! You may have to fight Bill to get your '57 back though.
Also Gary Medcalf is in Ocala and he would have provided parking for you too.
Bill/Myra, you are on the List, it wouldn't be the same without you two there.
