Song was Whippin Post by the Allman Bros, and no I dint sing it...sholud have!!!
Just got back in from Redstone Arsenol...Mark underwent 2 days of extensive testing. Damage is much wosre than initially thought ( Like I've been saying all along but what's a wife know?)
He is now back on med leave ( my guess is permanently) He is now able to drive, And they want to put him in an in patient facility for a bit...maybe even Walter Reed....
His test scores were abysimal..thos he doesn't know this, he's on the border of depression already, no need to throw him over the edge. Absolutely MUST quit smoking, and lose some weight... but when I think of the men and women in these VA hopitols with REAL issues to face...we'll be fine....HE'LL be fine!!!
Damned if the horns didn't just start blowing taps after I typed that!!!!!!

THAT is what keeps you strong... good on ya' Hope Mark gets the permanent med leave. I think it is something you BOTH deserve.
All the best...
PS.. If Mark finds the "magic cure" to quit smoking and not go nuts, pass it on

ok...so Mark doesn't meet the criteria for inpatient therapy & rehab...which is good in one way because it means he's not sick enough...you have to have been blown up by as iab or iud or what ever...its for people who need to talk and walk and think and feed themselved praise the good sweet Lord...he doesn't need that...and those slots should be held for the boys who DO!!!
NOW we're looking at out patient in Dothan Alabama...20 miles from home. IF they'll take him. Fixin to start pullin some strings.......Thank God we both have made some really good friend in really high places, who are ready to go to bat...
Meanwhile on a lighter note...I had an all 'ME' day yesterday....my first colonoscopy!...yeah, pretty much ready to let it all be about all Mark again....nuff said!

I have been awful as far as keeping ya'll posted, but I do hope you'll understand...the past few months have been nothing but Doctors, rehab, pharmacies, Jewelry shows (Got to see Gina & Danny a coupla times at Maggie Valley, Bless their hearts!!!)
Didn't have to sell my 'R' after all...YAY!!!! And Mark goes back to work as the S-2 (less stressful duty) for the 110th Brigade at Ft Rucker Monday, just a few hours a day, pending Med Board & Med Retirement....Meanwhile, I was named Ft Rucker's Volunteer of the month in September!!! (Actually for duties I'd performed prior to Mark's strokes)...He's doing well, Some cognitive difficulty...looking forward to retirement and getting back to rallies with you good people!!! Beth & Mark --You know we care - you don't need any forgiveness - you are part of our family - We welcome you back
We are looking forward to seeing you two at the rallys and our events.
Soooo...Mark went back to work in February, on a part-time basis...as the S-2 (security) . This is basically a 'we got a desk for ya' thing, while he goes thru MANY more drs appts to appease the VA and the Army, while under going the Med Board process...could be between 180-30 days til he's actually retired....
MEANWHILE!!! I went out for a girls night out coupla weeks ago and stumbled over a 6 inch step at the bar and broke a bone in my ankle AND one in the top of my foot...a month before my spring jewelry shows start (next weekend!!!)
BUT, as ya'll know, I always find the silver lining..I found out pain meds make me verrry easy to get along with!!! Feed me, help me to the john, that is all I needed while laid up!!!

O
It seems to me you and Mark are being tested as to how much you can take. You are showing that you can take a licking and keep on ticking. I feel sure it will get better and i'm also praying it will.
