Hi, I am 6'2" and 210 and am able to squeeze in and out without raising the doors. They go up just a bit harder then pulling down. When they are in the down position, I just let go and both close by themselves perfectly. They have double gas shocks but I do not have any info on them because I purchased it from a dealership. I will try to find out later if I can find out who had them installed.
I am basically a Corvette guy for the past 35 years but we have been installing stainless accessories on several of these in our shop and I got the bug. I had no idea just how much fun these can be until I got in them so I made up my mind that when a deal came around, I would own one and I managed to steal this one!

Good move vetteman62, Welcome. Are you a merchant? Seems like I have bought stuff for my SSR from you or a similiar name?
