Orlando/Daytona Pictures

OK, Saturday was a stormy, rain, hail filled day!!

Perfect, for a SSR get together, we are Fanatics after all!!

Kathy and I left, about 11:30am, during a downpour, after being called names, for thinking about not going. Hey, it only 2 1/2hrs to Daytona.

Lonnie/Lauren left later, they were waiting for the worst part of the storm to catch up with him.

We felt like the Postal Service, thru rain, hail, sleet, and snow, we deliver, or Heartbeat Dave won't fix our tickets anymore.

Yea, right!! Well my wipers do work, wasn't sure, never drive in the rain on purpose, until now.

We arrived at the Orlando Show and Mike/Marilyn were there to greet us with umbrellas.

Chuckster showed up and then Lonnie and Lauren made it.

We went to Mike/Marilyn's house to deliver tires and then we headed for Deck Down Under, in Port Orange,Fl. About an hour from Orlando, what to hey, we came this far. (SSR Fanatics were there during the Daytona Show).

Parking was tough but everyone found a spot and we had dinner on the deck, like we did last time. We all ate and drank to much. Included speeches by Peter, when doesn't he make a speech, which made everyone laugh and cheer.

Left about 9:30pm and headed back home, 3 1/2 hours for Kathy and I.

Everyone back safely.

We had a great time. Thank you David for letting 637 people get in front of you in line at dinner, even if you got slapped around by a woman and her 4 hungry kids (she didn't care what he drove ). Thanks Pete for the motivational speeches. Thanks Dick for accepting the nomination for President of Florida, for setting up border security, and for not being a wanker. And thanks to everyone for making it a great day!

Chuckstr, we'd love to meet Karin but we love you all by yourself too. Saturday should be fine to meet up with Lonnie, his shop is right off I-4 in Plant City.

BTW, Jeff was awful quiet at dinner, what's up with that?

Only Fanatics know HOW

Only SSR Fanantics know Now to turn a Not So Good day into a GREAT DAY - Lonnie - I'm not too sure if it's same woman (there were so many) I saw&heard but she was getting Hotter & Hotter, but David turned Diplomat ?(didn't know he had that in him! Where did that come from?? Not GA not MV)

Chuckstr I also, have some great pic's that I don't know how to post/attach yet, but even old dogs can learn --- BTW I've meet Chuck's son, so I know Karin does exist (I've been told Chuck keeps too busy taking care of the $$)

"Sleepy" (Mike -mlh in Deltona) and Nosepicker you missed

the carrivan (Nice ride - no rain, sunny and great fun)

For those who were thinking of coming - sorry- you missed a great time-

No pictures for now. We're on vacation

Now to Our Daytona evening:
Kim and I did drive her down to Daytona and the Florida Fanatics came out to join us just as the Georgia Fanatics were meeting in Atlanta.

We had 8 SSR's. Kim and I drove down from the Georgia Alabama line west of Atlanta, Pete & Linda drove up from almost south Florida, Doug & Cindy drove down from the north Florida, Jeff & Terri drove down from a little north of Daytona, Dick & Kathy and Lonnie & Lauren both drove across the entire state of Florida) Mike & Marilyn and Chuck (says he has a wife) both drove across from the middle of Florida. Waysouth is at her barn about a hour away but had a little sunburn problem pop up on Friday, and Dingbat had a couple things going on. We will drink, eat, laugh and lie with Anne, Mike & Marianne later in the week.

Our evening in Daytona June 21, 2008:
Some of us drank as we waited in line for the others for quite a long while and drank some more. We were "gentlemenfanatics" and let our wives hold down the tables while we in line. After the line thing, we ate, talked & laughed & Lied, drank, talked & Laughed & Lied, laughed & Lied some more, drank, talked, laughed & Lied a little more for a total of about 3 hours. As us "menfanatics" gave the keys to our "wifefanatics" and after many hugs, we all departed from Our Deck Down Under.
Pete and Linda stayed with Kim & I. We felt obligagted to stay up till the "westcoasters" made it back to the west coast and the Northerners made it back to the north so Pete and I sat up at the pool with cold ice water almost till almost all our Florida Fanatic Family almost made it almost back home.

Just wanted our Georgia Family and our National Family to know our Florida Family "really took care of us".

Hugs and Handshakes to you all...
David & Kim

Only Fanatics would drive from a rained out truck show, half way across the state, for dinner!
Just goes to show how much fun we are all together.

We had a terrific time and I'm glad to finally meet Kim {thought she might have been a figment of David's vivid imagination} and also glad to see he DOES actually own an SSR!

Dinner was great, the camaraderie even better and I'm glad we waited those final few minutes in line for the group. David said he was only going to let a max of 650 people thru.......so it was close.

Dick - thanks for accepting the nomination for Prez of the FL Chapter - your scepter is in the mail. Let me know when it's my turn on the watchtower for border patrol.

I knew it was going to rain, So.

So............., we came in Kim's

We almost drown from Lake City to Daytona

My vivid imagination led me to believe Kim's would be much better in the rain.

(Lonnie, don't forget !!! Drive Lauren's in October in case of rain and for the Ocean mist)

Now David, those weren't ALL lies......some were only half-truths, so my conscience is still good!

David did "talk" us all the way in, back to the home 40 and I thank him for that and having us down to his place.

I think maybe his and Kim's FL visa is good for another year, so Dick plz pass that along to the border patrol.

Hey now, poor Sinister looked like he had icicles on him last November (only they were salt-sicles! ). You have two SSRs, you and Kim drive both and we'll ride shotgun!

Doug, don't let him across the border unless he's driving an appropriate amount of SSRs.
