Spent a week with Pete (SSRFather), then another week with Paul Simpson, then the Keys run with Mike. He has a "Special Mama" who sure could cook Italian... That was a real change from Fried Chicken and Gravy...
He would phone me every now and then, but he would call Anne (Waysouth) more than any of us. Pete would talk to him and Lonnie did some work on his R. He came to MV in 2009.
Back in 2007, it was raining and I was soaking wet when I got to Petes. He made me strip down in his garage out of my wet cloths. Some ladies were walking their dogs, and to make a long story "short", Pete still get Fresh Homemade Cookies on his front steps about once a month.

It's one of life's great mysteries... I haven't talked to him since the last Keys Run. His mom and I exchanged Christmas cards year before last but their phone number was disconnected and I have totally lost touch. It's very sad. He was my bro... I miss the big lug. And ma... well she is an angel on earth. I hope they are fine.

Mike was definately a "different kind of guy" and sometimes got under our skin (had to be close to him to know what I'm tallking about), but if we're honest, all of us who have posted on this thread are really "different kind of guys and DOLLs".

so true David, we tend to put the FUN in dysfunction. Sometimes I will read a post of mine the next day and I think I have a mild vocabular confusion - a case of functional illiteracy.
This phenomenon is present in many internet forums (fora) to various degrees.
There are numerous posts I've had to read multiple times to extract the meaning through the misspellings, grammatical errors and homonym - ''close but no cigar'' word substitutions. But the vast majority of contributors here provide useful and helpful information which more than makes up for the variety of written foibles. Which are a lot of fun to read and read into.
Now we just need to locate a bald brother----

George, you're Right On .
Most of the time if someone reads one of mine who doesn't really personally know me, they wouldn't know what to make of what I just typed. They wouldn't know if I were laughing or crying, happy or sad, Mad or Glad...
I guess it's so true for all of us on here.
My friends know me and , over look me...
