Dennis Miller, FloRidah, was asked to Show his SSR, as the ONLY SSR invited to Auburndale Cities 100th Anniversary Celebration Show, Saturday May 27th, 2011.

Mr. Gene Turchan contacted me, at Dennis's request. (Dennis & Jo were headed back to Ill for the Summer). I agreed, excitedly, to show my SSR.

I was asked if I knew anyone with a Prowler, and I do, Jeffanatic.

So, Jeff/Tina, Kathy/Dicktator attended the 100th Anniversary Celebration in Auburndale on Sat. Only 60 cars were invited to attend. They wanted to have one of each, Model type, instead of just a Open Show. One Buick, one Camaro, one Vette, one model T, one SSR, one Prowler, etc.

We were assigned parking on the Ball Field, First base line and Third base line with invited Motorcycles in the center.

It was a great day, with air rides, all kinds of FOOD, displays, Museum was open and Fire Works at Dark.

CONGRATULATIONS!

Jeff's/Tina's Prowler looks good in the sunshine as does Dick's/Kathy's SSR.

It's pretty darn special to be invited to participate in any cities 100th Anniversary Celebration Show.

Jeff did another great job on making up the dash plaques but it does appear there is a missing 'R'.

Hi Dick,

Being the new guy to the SSR group in Florida, I am much happier to have you represent the SSR family. You are certainly a terrific spokesman and likely you answered hundreds of questions that I would not have been able to.

Hi Alex,

I noticed a partial black and partial silver SSR which looks vaguely familiar in the dash plaaque. I saw two cool black ones in Maggie Valley; perhaps that is why they did not get put in the picture, ya think?

PS: I tried to put in a little icon with a sliver SSR and a black one but messed up.
