Alex had a VIP pass for a Dinner and talk by Chip Foose here in Clearwater as part of BASF Paint Products Promotion.
Alex got his model SSR signed, a shirt signed, Chip "Sketched an SSR" on the shirt with a black marker and signed it. WOW!!
Alex wanted his shorts signed but Chip refused.
He also signed two posters, one for the "Dicktator" and one for "Jeffanatic" who also owns a Prowler.
THANKS Alex, Jeff and I know this will cost us!!

5. Jeffanatic signed poster. Jeff has Prowler, Chip designed and built original Prowler.
I totally agree! Chip Foose is a huge talent and a class act as well!
I emailed his website to ask if he has done any design modification for the SSR's? Never heard back, not sure he ever got the email?! Love his talent though!
I had Chip sign a picture of my R at a car show in Toronto. Super nice guy!
He was the only one to date to notice and complement me on the speed scallop on my truck being the same angle as the windshield. It was my intent to make the scallop be like a reflection of the top body line just folded down, and he seen it rate a way. I like his smooth subtle style.

Chip did say the "R" was a nice truck.
Not sure that Chip made a comment per se about the "R" during our short conversation as he signed away his evening.
We talk about his original Prowler and Jeffantic having one of the Chrysler one's, his knowing Dave, 32Revolver, how he liked jumping out of the plane that Thurday over at Macdill AFB, his missing his wifes birthday that day to be in Tampa for us and of course my comment could he draw an "R" on my shirt and sign it. LOL
He did tell me the "R"'s were nice trucks while he drew one for me but we really didn't discuss them. You just don't want to take up the short time you have discussing your "R" which isn't there in the room for him to see and comment on. Talked about his Discovery Channel shows which I watched worked for me for conversation.
Here's a tidbit he told. Do you remember the Overhauling show where the father drops down onto his knees when they open the hood of his car to see the engine? Chip said there was a 25 minute break of time at that point in the show as it took that long for the man to regain his composure for the show to continue. Dry eyes did not exist on the set. Enough said!
I was very impressed with his demeaner with people as I stood in line and watched and waited my turn. Whomever was with him during a signing were the most important people in the room.
I have the utmost respect for such a nice guy. Wish his shop was here on the westcoast of FLORIDA. What a place to hang out at that would be and watch the master designer do his thing.
