Accomodation change
Thanks to several threads on this post I contacted Skip at the Flamingo Inn and now have reservations to stay there with several other fanatics. I need to cancel the reservation at Rainbow Bend. A $35 cancellation charge I will be pleased to pay.
Skip seems like a real character. I asked him if he had slots and a dinner show like the Flamingo in Las Vegas and he said no slots but he could put on a show. Not sure I want to see it.
Anne count me in for this one...also I'm in for the dinner on saturday...I'll send my payment in today...also ordered the shirt...let me know down the road when you want me to take you these thing I have here for the "grab bags"...
thanks
John

As usual post #1 has all pertinent information.
Bumped for the east coasters.... less than 2 weeks to send in your dinner $
After the Mallory Square car show is finished at sunset for some...
and after Jeff & Tina's romantic island wedding for others...
We will all gather on Conch Key at the Conch Key Cottages (mm 62) for our Smugglers & Pirates dinner featuring Tim Dees playing cool island music, a major much-out and partying til the wee hours.
Our dinner will be catered by Barbara of Porky's delicious island bar-b-que.
The dinner will be served from 7:30 to 9:30 and we have rented the entire island so the party may go on as long as we want.
The menu will be:
Appetizers of stone crab, smoked fish dip with tortilla chips and peel & eat shrimp.
Dinner will be bar-b-que chicken, bar-b-que pork, coleslaw, potato salad & baked beans.
The price includes dinner, taxes, tips, live music AND a contribution to the Key West Historical Preservation Society for the use of Mallory Square for our car show. In addition each truck will receive an awesome booty bag with island survival necessities... The price per person is $50.00 and doesn't include drinks - which are "Bring your Own". Please have all checks in before the deadline of Monday October 12th.
Anyone that doesn't send in payment by then will be SOL (Sh*t outta Luck). Checks will be made out to yours truly, Anne Gorden and mailed in with the attached form completely filled out. Please do not forget to print this form and mail it with your check. The mailing address is:
c/o Rusty or Jolie Sanderson
PO Box 3078
Jensen Beach, Florida

For those attending the Silver Springs show you may bring your payment and form to the show and give it to either Anne & Robert "waysouth6speed", Pete & Linda "The SSR Father" or to Rusty & Jolie " Silver Blur".

Hey now, you hold up... you don't think a Smuggler's & Pirates Dinner is right up there with Sunday dinner at grandma's or Thanksgiving? It is not supper when it's this special of an occasion! Did you ever have any Canadians at your house for Thanksgiving?

I stand corrected. A small piece of bread with a thin piece of meat on it would be DINNER as long as you and all my other SSR Friends are involved. No matter what time of day.
You are right up there with Supper here in the country on the line, Thanksgiving and Christmas Dinner.
No, never had an Canadians for dinner at our house,
